Based on the activity in the Mod Thread and the increase in the amount of members being banned, I think it's reasonable to call for new forum rules to be established. If someone could start a poll, that'd be great as I am on my phone.

The users here are the customers and it would benefit them and the mods alike to be on the same page. Let's talk it out here, it seems that asking for new mods in the mod thread can get you infractions or straight up banned from the thread as was the case with me. Now hear me out, I'm not calling for new mods, just new rules and leniency. If enough people are in favor, I don't see why we can't work something out.
I don't know man, I gave out my first infraction in well over a year today. So I don't know if it's the rules or some members not getting enough attention at home or what. The rules are pretty clear and I think you guys all understand when you are pushing.
I was never surprised when I received an infraction. Anywho, you should post this in the Mod Thread. It doesn't really belong here. But before you do that you should be more specific as to what you want.

Valid points, no disagreement about moderating being a pain in the ass. But it feels like too many members are being infracted and banned. I'm just asking for a different interpretation of the rules or new ones.
You saw the gif? I didnt think it worked

I'm still banned from the mod thread because of the panda joke.

In short what I'd like is a throwback to the old style moderating. A lot of people use this forum to dick around and it feels like not everyone is on the same page as to how lax to be.

I think it's pretty obvious when you can joke around and when you can't joke around. I think it's pretty obvious when you're (general you) are harassing a member and when you're just goofing. Some mods are stricter than others, and it's always been like that. It creates balance with the moderation. The rules have always been the same.

I feel the argument of "hey some of us here don't take this place seriously and we'd really just like to fuck with people and not have to worry about getting kicked out" isn't going to sway much sympathy. :D

Wasnt it you? Doesnt make much sense imo because then that all that stuff doesnt go away just spills over into other threads like right now
That's not what I said.

Still tho, a mere mention of panda got me locked out of the mod thread :D

Anyways, let's just drop the panda business and see what the rest of the members have to say.

Do you feel that an thread ban is more excessive than an infraction?
I feel they're both excessive for a gay joke. I thought it was pretty timely given that someone mentioned him hugging a bear.

@Kyle if you have a serious, stress serious, grievanve by all means post it in the mod thread, if it is to throw fuel on the fire. Don't.

Also if you are banned from a thread you know damn welk why.

Now stop taking your drama to other threads or face the consequences.
