Northern atlantic isn't the same as the pacific coast in SoCal to me.

Something about the west coast I really enjoy and its always nice too. It's where my wife grew up and where most of her family is so one day I'd either like to move there or own a house out there so we have a spot to vacation. I actually want to buy the house her mom lives in in Brea but her Aunt in Egypt owns it. :D

I know, its so frickin' expensive. Quality of life (aside from costs) is nice to me (weather, beach, mountains, outdoors stuff,, etc).

lol earthquake insurance tho

in a few years the cost won't be so much of an issue for us anymore but its a big decision.
I was just trying to be funny, I'd love to live in Cali myself.

Oh Good lord.

How the $#@! do you even manage? Isn't that area the highest cost of living per capita in the US?
I live in Jefferson county, which is just to the west of Loudoun and Fairfax counties, the two richest in the nation. Jefferson is not nearly as expensive as the other two, but it's still pretty high compared to other places. The good news is we got a good deal for a house and this area can only grow since the others are becoming overpopulated.
