Though I know some tough women footballers but they would get broken in a match with men. I'm serious and in no way disrespecting them, but they would get beaten pretty bad, physicaly and on the score. It's not even comparable, same level (as in pro or amateur) women will loose 9999 times out of 10000. And pro vs amateur imo opinion would be a big landslide in mens favor too. If we are not comparing some paro>fabregas, women would loose almost every time.

Broken or not, you watch a match like Canada-England and the quality is pretty shite. It's a different story if you watched France-Germany.

But it's not all about strength. I've been impressed with the U.S.'s Julie Johnston ... the last time I saw a centerback almost never place a foot wrong and win back any lost balls the way she in a major tournament was Chiellini in Euro 2008.

...now go and compare giovinco to abby wambach.

also a foul is a foul. we are not talking about handegg.

Yes, but we have the tallest man from china where almost all of them are midgets.

As for not physical, yes this is where they can become equal, but being woman she has a very big dissadventage against men. But if you're slower, weaker you will have much harder time to not place a foot wrong, you would have to be much better then you're opponent.

A giovinco that is a pro athlete, and made it to the top of professional football world. Where he constantly failed to perform to what people expected from him because of his physical attributes. Now add that a women will be even weaker then him. I wonder how that would turn out.

And there is no reason to foul if you can just push opponent out of the way or out run him. I just think that those that talk this have only did the watching of sports but haven't really competed or played them.

Oh, certainly if a woman centerback had to play against male forwards, it would be a different story.

But as Raz pointed out... the difference in the 100m at the Olympics is about a second among the tops in women vs men. The number of men who can break a sub-11-second 100m is pretty limited. In fact, among the Olympic men fielded in 2012, the top 60 qualifiers did beat the best woman's time. But that's just 60 men in the entire world of athletics and 25% of the Olympic-qualifying men could not beat that time.

Really? I would think that something around 10''60 to 11'' is not that uncommon in men sprinters, which for women is world record times.

All in all a same level athlete male would have no competition against a female. I just can't think of any reason why would this thing even be considered as a bad though.

All this men and women are equal on every little thing imaginable is unreal and stupid.

you are so wrong.

been playing and not in the worst leauge.

but no one can compare it really, because no one of us has ever played against a female team i guess.
I have, many times. But when I was 14, we went on lots of trips with our football team and girls that were 2 years older around europe in many tournaments. And we played many exibition and even more training matches, we lost maybe once or twice and we were 2 years younger at the age of 13-14, so they were 16-17...

How many women couldn't beat the 11 sec mark though?

I can't remember since it was long ago, but from my school there were quite a few who would run 100 meters in something 10 sec or so. would be interesting to know what is is the average for a school kid athlete for male and female.

I'm not talking about pimple faced dudes who never played the sport before. I mean someone who played in high school or recreationally and is in good shape. At that point, they'll beat the pro female soccer athletes. As far as tennis goes:

http://observer.theguardian.com/osm/story/0,,543962,00.html
So you're saying X is the 200th-ranked tennis player in the world? ;)

Look, in this country just being able to complete a 10-minute mile places you in elite company when more than two-thirds of Americans are overweight or obese:

Williams are no ordinary pro athletes too... They are at the top of the class, or were there.

Take a regular league pro female team and I bet an amateur male team would beat them.

It's weird being one of the two last interns left in the company. I finished all my work on friday, so basically I have to sit here until this friday until I hand it in.

I'm taking a page from Costanza here, looking super annoyed.
