Thats only because my guard is down when it comes to Hoori(except for the mafia game of course), i never thought she was capable of such deception, the US has changed you @hoori
she got me too. all the time I was thinking "no way that's real, but if Hoori is saying it is must be true, surely?" :D
Come on, that's like the oldest Juventuz trick, was most popular around 2004, when Andy was a lovable kid, when we thought it was very funny to pull that trick :touched:

Wow Mardin :( I had higher thoughts of you than for you to get fooled by the 'nan :(
Sexist :disagree:

all of hip hop can pretty much be summarized as "i have some confidence problems, i want you to acknowledge me"

Yeah, it's a horrible news. Then again, it's a much softer blow nowadays (since there are usually plenty of copies) compared to losing library of Alexandria which contained 300-500k of pretty much unique stuff.
I thought there were no backups or copies of most of the historical documents?

That's what I meant at any rate when I asked whether there are any unique documents or books in there. Don't really think that all of the library's contents have been copied/digitalized in any way though.

No idea honestly but I really hope you're wrong.

Searched a little bit, didn't find a clear answer, but it seems the "most important" part of the library housing "rare slavic texts" wasn't destroyed.

And not much had been digitalized.

I think that will change after these events. I actually have no idea how that's possible in XXI century. I'd understand all the setbacks in the past but with this technology it really makes no sense imo.

C.R.E.A.M.

Culture and history are pretty much always the first losers in any time of economical harship or war. I remember getting really infuriated after finding out what happened e.g. at the Baghdad museum during the US invasion 2003.

A ton of artifacts were destroyed or looted, many of them thousands of years old.

I mean thinking about it rationally there are probably worse things, such as death, hunger or suffering, in the world worth getting angry about than some old stones and papyrus getting destroyed. But to think that these antiquities survived for 3000-5000 years only to get destroyed due to such a completely unnecessary and stupid war is hard to swallow for me.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's certainly a huge blow for civilization and I'll never get over Alexandria library. :D

But it just shocks me that it happens nowadays with the technology and everything (doesn't imply for museums and objects obviously).

Bailed on of my so called birthday greetings/fussing early for another lol, until I woke up 9 in the morning until this very second, various different peeps made their mission to keep me busy today with different kind of activities (fav being mini golf out of 4-5 different ones). Appriciate it, but it got too much after so many hours hehe (one of the light weight dumbasses drank too much during dinner and blabbed their planning suprise party next weekend :sergio: :howler: ) .

Didnt think I would miss my apartment so much after being away for 12 hours from it in what I planned to be a quiet off day. Gonna watch frenchie comedy called Serial Bad weddings with my brothers, who I appriciate more today for being so casual, besides the hugs and gifts.
