You honor the defense rests :D. Oh, and I've lived with it for nearly 46 years, so that "I grew up with snow" routine doesn't fly with me.
Let's put things into perspective, first before we judge the condemned. :D

---

I lived in Ohio with lake effect snow and bitter cold but I will give you that part of the country winter starts sooner and lasts longer with longer chill periods so I can see how your view of winter can vary from that of mine. I'm used to 1-2 very hard snows annually but only in late Jan to most of Feb whereas you have snow cover probably in much longer durations than I do.

It's bad when you can't tell whether he's gone PC Nazi or is just trolling those who have. :shifty:

And here I've gotten used to "colored" as distinctly different from "black" and standing for mixed race - a la as in South Africa. So Barack Obama or Tiger Woods are colored but not black.

Coming from someone who now lives in San Francisco
And yet if there was any weather upside to moving here long ago, it was for the summers -- not the winters. :stuckup:

@Nzoric and @Ragazza how'd it all go?
Well, I didn't know there was two parts to it. I passed part one, and I have to go back tonight for part two. This part is a practical test of how well I can sell and I have to put together an outfit for someone that's appropriate for particular situations.

I love snow and I drive. So you shovel a little, big deal. Just shoveled three houses and I'm probably going to be doing it again in a half hour for "fun."

Lol, poor choice of words and a mistake then anything else. Would made sense to use that word of you speaking about south Africans, not anywhere else.

Must be funny, he played a slave owner recently and his ancestors /family are famous slave owners, weird experience.
Excuse my ignorance, but why is it that "colored" isn't ok but "people of color" is? Isn't it basically the same thing?

Semantics usually, but comes with different use, history and hence means different things due to it. People of colour refers to in general that ain't white, aka most of the world and has no bigoted associations. Coloured is what you called African slaves when you got tired of just saying nigger or coon.

Except in South Africa where coloured is what you call big portion of the people there who are mixed.

Especially in the US as that was the commonly used term during segregation, so it just has a bad history and connotation despite sounding like a more "innocent" word.

The trouble is that society seems to play a game of changing terminology to stay one step ahead of enough historical context to be negative. "Black" was considered derogatory at one point here.
