It's election day today in Sweden. I just came from the election hall and it feels great every time, the feeling that your voice actually counts to something. It's really a privelege to be a citizen of such a country, I feel proud and attached to Sweden every time something like this happens. Before moving here, I voted in Lebanon twice and not a single time I had this feeling and on both occasions I was sort of afraid of going to the election hall fearing that someone would know and object to my political orientation.
We also had a referendum today, it's the first time I vote on such a thing and it also feels good no matter how small and insignificant it is. When the tolls are counted and you see that you are one of those percentual sums.
