You're stuck in a routine, you won't appreciate little things more, especially if you work from home.

Social skills do not really improve that way, nor your emotional intelligence matures, so you're not getting the benefit.

Having said that, you're not making your life better really.

Then again, it have benefits as well, just not those.

Unfortunately I don't get to work from home much lately. We recently decided to try to make one day per week free of meetings, and that'd be a time to really focus on a harder problem. But we're not really succeeding and there are meetings anyway, so maybe once in two weeks is all I get.

Some people love that, I personally think it's a horrible thing. My friend is also a coder, so I guess I know how that work goes. I'm not a fan, too many negative things.
