They're the worst. I can't tell you how many times I've come across the Palo Alto trophy wife and her pet project -- some idiotic designer retail shop that always loses money or some bogus charity -- that her sugar daddy husband sets her up with for a distraction/hobby so she can play entrepreneur. :inter:
its some unexplainable phenomenon how the least useful people to society (trophy wives) have the biggest egos all because they spread it for some rich dude

And I also wouldn't listen to people who say choose something you enjoy, especially in this economy.
Exactly. When i tell people im studying business supply chain mgmt i always get critizcid because i "wont enjoy that". Good luck finding a job after racking up 50000 in student debt, faggots

I worked as a cashier for several years in a wealthy area. It always helped me to remember that anybody who finds themselves at that place in life where they feel the need to insult a cashier in a hardware store over the tiniest thing is obviously someone who is really far more miserable than i've ever been or would ever allow myself to reach.
Yep. And I've learned to never give anyone in retail or customer service a hard time for making an honest mistake. They can't always be perfect or an expert at everything. Not to mention some of people's incompetence goes back to management's lack of training - I've had a couple jobs where I've had very little direction and had to learn most things on my own - so someone could be doing what you consider to be a poor job and it's not even their fault. Might make me less likely to come back, but I'm not going to take it out on them. Only thing that's unacceptable to me is rudeness.

(Just remembered you also live in the Bay Area, so you might know what I mean about Palo Alto/Atherton.)

Not anymore :D but my sister does consulting work for the palo alto school district so I hear plenty from her. And ive spent most of my life just across the bay in a similar community so i'm definitely familiar.

Chico, I'm sure you're going to get a great... education. :D

Moving to Vegas, which I never thought I'd say.
It's a culture im used to, its really cheap tuition, best weed in the world, the co-eds are really fine, and believe it or not there are a lot of solid recruiting options out of this school for business majors. 10/10

Wow that's cool. should be a lot of fun.

So, a great education. :D

And yeah, I hope it is. I've lived in a few different cities in my life but always in the Bay Area, so it will be a bit of a shock I'm sure. Probably won't be a permanent move unless it surprises me and I love it. The rent is cheap though.

Guys how did you figure out what you wanted to study in college?
I knew when I was 13 and saw David Saunders make a catch (an old WVU Wide Receiver) and his major was Business, asked my dad what that meant, and went with it from there. Studied Business with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics...

Just finished off 4 bottles of wine in the plaza, then walked into my host mother planning her father's funeral. Asked for water, she asked how many bottles we had, I said 4. She said "Muy bien". Estoy en Me-hi-co!

I forgot MBAs grow on trees in the inter webs. That's cool that you can do it online. Are you going for a straight MBA or are you gonna "dude it up"?

I am going for one in Finance most likely, if not, General Business.
Some programs let you get pretty specific. That's what I meant. Some programs are pretty generic.
