You are likely the most un-fun person I have ever met.
You haven't met me. I've worked every bank holiday that has occured when I haven't been at uni and I find them, alongside religious holidays, to be an iritiance and their purpose has long since gone and are just now ritualised laziness. Every weekend, working age adults get two days off + twenty days holiday a year minimum for a full time job in the UK...who needs more? thats about 1/5th 1/4 of the year off.

In this day and age I consider knowing one another's names, what the other looks like, and having held a conversation to be meeting someone.

And you're serious? Time off is good for people, it is good for your mental health (especially if you have a stressful job) and gives people something to look forward to. Not everyone gets those 20 coveted days off, temps get fuck all, and more and more lower-level jobs are only temps and not full-time. Yes, the reasons might be outdated, but people need a break.

And two days a week isn't enough? I was lucky to get a day off a week last summer, didn't bother me and i'm not special. Ritualised laziness.

Temps a lot of times work almost every day. A lot of people do two jobs too. Not everyone's job is that of sitting around in a coffee shop and taking orders. Think of all the hard labor. You're probably the first person who's bitched about time off

What's happening ALC, Tuz. :D

What I miss?
Chillen bro. Read the Vidal thread if you want a laugh.

"sitting around in a coffee shop taking orders"?

I worked in a coffee shop that took £40 000 a day (avg order £3.70) , working 12 hour days, 6 day weeks - its why I never post on here over the summer. I worked a shit load harder than most people and I don't think much of it.

not the same as two jobs nor is it manual labor in the true sense of the world. it's a coffee shop.
