actually i used ziphone (ziphone.org) for my iphone (non-3G) and i have installed a plethora or free 3rd party apps including agile messenger, fring, a video recorder, devicescape, summerboard, and a whole bunch of other stuff. as far as i know the old iphone has owned by the independent dev teams and thus resulting in a mess load of free apps far better than anything the apple apps store could ever offer.

once i unlocked and jailbroke my phone using ziphone it automatically replaced the installers pre-loaded apple apps store with a list of 10+ 3rd party sources for free apps. Some are free to try for 30days or so but I understand that cuz some of those dev teams make a living off of this on their own instead of apple.

As far as I know about the 3G iphone, only 1 dev team (somewhere in brasil) successfully unlocked and jailbroke the new 3G model. More will come in the next few months. And I guarantee by january there will be no-holds-bar on the 3G in terms of unlocking/jailbreaking and free 3rd party apps just like the 1st gen iphone.
So when you buy a house you prefer one that you have to break into?

Don't you see how utterly perverse it is to buy a device that supposedly gives you all these possibilities but actually is designed to prevent you from doing anything the dark overlords don't want?

And this you call.... freedom? Of all things?

Actually its more like if the builder of the house that I buy didn't add crown molding, french doors, left the walls white, etc.. All those things are add-ons that are the preferences of the buyer and most home buyers do add those things after they buy the house.

Also what you are forgetting is that apple is not the only phone that does that. I have owned blackberry handsets, nokia, and HTC. All of which I had to mod to meet my specs and preferences. If you think apple is bad then you have never used a windows mobile based phone. Windows sucks balls as a pc os, just imagine how bad it is on your phone. Those are the worst phones to mod and jail break because if you update or change your rom on any WM phone then you are taking the risk of rendering it useless since you cannot truly reinstall a carriers default ROM back onto a faulted device.

Word, the North is nothing like the South now that I think about it. NC, SC, FL, and GA are terrible, and that names only the states I've been to in the last year or two.
Quit talking out your ass. Those states are all great with the exception of Florida.

    Mate, you're cadley.

I'm not saying those states are bad, just that they are dirty.

Charlotte, Columbia, Jacksonville, and The ATL are fucking awful, those are just quck ones I can grab off the top of my dome.

You forgot nawlins, memphfrica, roanoke, knoxville, h-town (even though its my 2nd home). And I've been in the south long enough to know that there is a reason why its called the "dirty"

Charlotte and Columbia have dirty areas but also have very nice areas. If you're judging those states on their largest city then it's you who is being cadley.

Um Dru sorry to tell you this but most cities over 100,000 people tend to have dirty places. And from experience Memphis and Houston are wicked fun. And come on, as far as being dirty, no one has shit on the state of New Jersey and Ohio.

i know that jersey is buck nasty. but its a different kind of dirty up north. its more urban and grimey old and industrial, whereas down south its just hot and dirty with everything just broke in all types of ways.

like i said earlier -- n.o. is the epitomy of dirty in any sense of the term

You'll have to elaborate further in differences between Northern dirty and Southern dirty. Grimey old and industrial versus broke in all types of ways doesn't make much since to me.

I guess New Orleans is dirty as in it's poor and black, but so is Cleveland.

First off, fuck Ann Arbor, second, I was just talking from personal, recent experience.

No, I'm not, but I know every major city has dirty areas, but a lot more dirty areas are seen in the South I think, just an opinion, not a fact.
