You can't really call it like that. Procopius is the only historian we have to this period, and being somewhat zaeleous in his Christian faith it's quite obvious that he has it out for Theodora. Hence you can't conclude without any critique because the only author is clearly biased. I think she played a major part too, but no way that she was influential as Procopius writes in The Secret History.
I agree with being critical of the sources, but they are the closest we're ever gonna get to "what actually happened". Not that "wie es eigentlich gewesen" (the von Ranke-method) is the current historical doctrine, but nonetheless, we have a major source pointing out Theodora's influence. She may or may not have been as influential as Procopius claims, but later historians all agree that she did play an important part in his decision-making. When it comes to the "degrees" of her importance, well that's the problem with history, isn't it? We'll never know the full truth, because history is based on second-hand sources...writings...tales...almost like novels, you could say. At least for the most part, and at least in this case.

Actually, history is frustrating as fuck, and pretty pointless too. Because you're never gonna get to the truth. That's why I quit after 3 years and enrolled at law :D

This webpage is not available
The server at www.youtube.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Check your DNS settings. Contact your network administrator if you're not sure what this means.
Try disabling network prediction by following these steps: Go to the wrench menu > Preferences > Under the Hood and deselect "Predict network actions to improve page load performance." If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to Applications > System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and deselect any proxies that have been selected.
Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address.

So yesterday San Francisco may have elected its first Asian mayor. And I'm all for it.

Given that the mayor gets chauffeured around town, that's one less Asian driver I need to worry about. :pado:

Have I reached my racist quota yet today? :p
