thanx dru. the blasts thmselves werent meant to kill people in the way it looks like. they used gelatin sticks, which i less powerful compared to other explosives, and they were planted in such a way that people just panic. one 1 or 2 persons were killed. so that may be it.

btw, the total no. of blasts is about 10 now! thankfully, these blasts only caused lot of traffic jams, and not much of panic or violence!

well, the reason may be political, cos our state govt. is currently ruled by BJP, and this party has come into power for the first time in South India. so the blasts may be as a sign of opposition... but surely, the primary motive was to send a message and not to kill people or destroy property.
