No way,man.

Nothing against Last Child, but Rats in the Cellar is spectacular. That bridge that starts at 2:31.

thats like a completely different band
I don't know about that. They seemed to recapture their hunger and grit after their very glossy, and quite frankly, extremely overrated comeback album "Permanent Vacation"

I was ready to write them off as a pop band, and then I popped int my cassette and heard this:

And, well, that was it. I wuz hooked.

so full circle, i want you to give me your best of all time, i know i know, it's hard and pretty futile exercise :p but humor me

Best of all time in regards to what, Bands, Albums?

I'll tell you what. I will do 10 Albums that I would take with me to a deserted island

Prince- Sign O the Times
The Pretenders- The Pretenders
Van Halen- Women and Children First
Nas- Stillmatic
The Beatles- Revolver
Marvin Gaye- What's going on
Pearl Jam- Vs.
Rush- Permanent Waves
Stevie Wonder- Songs in the key of life
Metallica- And Justice for All

The one thing that these all have in common, is that I can play the entire album from beginning to end without skipping any tracks.

Dude - those are all solid choices. I'm actually surprised you went for W&CF over VH I. Most people don't do that, but the former is a much neglected album.

My best all time stuff is pretty freakazoid and includes oddities like The Replacements' Pleased to Meet Me, UFO's Strangers in the Night, Erik Truffaz's Arkhangelsk, Tribe's Low End Theory...

Actually, wait. I can't have Nas on there.

Not ahead of De La Soul's "3 feet high and rising"

Sorry, Nas. You have to go.
