Funny thing is HNDRX shits on "FUTURE" album and he released them week from another (word on twitter is 3rd one is coming ), latter its way more wavy rnb type of gritty vibe, Trap lord but showing his range with this more experimental sound.


He has outdone himself COMPLETELY on HNDRX, showcasing new level of consistency:

Both albums are great and I won't complain if he releases another album on Friday. The more Future the better, he is my favorite artist. I will need more time before I decide which album is better or where it would rank among his work. Both albums complement each other perfectly and he proves again and again how versatile he is.

I recommend making a playlist with both albums and putting it on shuffle

So just now I was listening to Lupe on youtube and stumbled over this song - I think you even showed it me once Osman:


Then I look up the lyrics and stumble over this line:

And of course I couldn't help but notice the bolded part

So that's already pretty great. But I thought that must just be some sort of coincidence, right? Lupe's probably not even interested in football at all, maybe he doesn't even know what Arsenal is, let alone the meme with them always finishing fourth.

But then I google a little bit, and turns out Lupe is a fucking Tottenham fan

This is the rest of the song, there are some football references just before and after the Arsenal line I posted, like "baller" or "match". Probably even more I'm not even realising right now.

But yeah completely missed the reference. He has so many over your head references its unreal.


Btw key part you missed is he says Arsenal im level for and your Armour two, both names that go with his art of war theme of weapons /protection. Tho the Arsenal part is clear, for 2nd part is less on the nose , but the song was made last season, when Arsenal finished 4th as usual and his Spurs finished 2nd. Armour is Spurs, because their shirt sport retail sponsor is the English brand under Armour



Lupe officially works for us soccer Btw, for music, so his interest is clear. Other rappers who are football heads are Dr Dre Pool fan, Jay Z is Arsenal fan, some links claim Nas is Everton fan lol, Joey Badass footie geek, possibly Real fan.

Never heard of the guy before (and only knew the kenny loggings name from Archer lol) , but Aush recommended the album couple days ago, very smooth lounge like chill project. Some good features for sure, one with Kendrick walk on by is nice too. And surprisingly the one with Whiz Khalifa Drink dat too.
