@ZoSo would approve, but this one's dedicated to Microsoft Word... which has given my laptop a spinning beach ball of death that has made even "Force Quit" a challenge...

Guns for Hire? That's certainly an interesting choice.

---

I just love it. Love the opening riffs, love everything about it. Always have, moreso than the rest of their very well known tracks.

And then you go and throw Nas up there and you know that means an automatic + rep for you.

Oh I just love this band. 30 years of love and still going strong

I saw these guys open up for Motley Crue in 1987, and then as a headlining act for the Slip of the Tongue three years later

And who was the lead guitarist, you may ask?

Why, it was none other than Steve Vai. Amazing how things can come full circle sometimes.

:agree:

I'm not sure I'd rank Joe above Vai. While his music is certainly more accessible, Vai is a genius in his own right.
Vai just sounds like he is masturbating with the guitar, Joe makes music that isn't only for 'guitar nerds'.

I think that's a gross oversimplification of what he's capable of doing with the guitar. The control he has over the notes he plays is unmatched, his sound is unmistakable and his style of music is far too unique to be labeled as masturbation. Plus he's a great guy in general.

    Grow up, James.

:andyandbarcelona: Yeah he's a great player, but chooses to play wank guitar nerd 'music'
:sergio: Dude, seriously... guitarists like Yngwie, Michael Angelo Batio, Michael Romeo make "guitar nerd" music. Vai actually plays proper music. He may be a little eccentric on stage and prone to showing off, but to describe his music as "nerd music" is just wrong.
