I'd rather say that "Britney" and "making music" shouldn't be used in the same sentence. Her songs are made by professional musicians and producers who happen to be - believe it or not - some of the best in the business. Britney is just the performer, the face that is supposed to make the music sell . And I'm not ashamed to say most of her songs are well writen. If people 'judge' her music, most people make up their mind based only on the association with hysterical teen girl fans and Britney being a retarted bitch. I'm not saying I'm a fan of her music, but I dare to say her music has more content (musical, not lyrical) than a lot of other popular artists people who say that "Britney's music sucks" listen to.
