Yes Rabiot is presently but do you really believe he will have to accept such a low salary amount as Wes? If he does than will have to lower the 9 ranking for mom. :baus:

Not as low, but what mckennie doing this summer, is exactly what Rabiot did last summer. Meaning re-signing with the same salary an extra year.

Granted their salaries have significant gap, but it's more or less similar occurrence.

This summer Rabiot tried the same bluff like last summer (demanding higher until he agreed one year extra on same salary), and this time they said goodbye and got a younger, cheaper and better Khepren.

Best move of the summer so far :agree:

He went from being offered a renewal at a lower salary in feb/march to now renewing at same or higher salary

Shows that fino all fine pays off for Weston and guintoli can’t sell
Bro forgot to take inflation into account. I hope he won't figure the The Big Mac Index before the next renewal because we'll be screwed.

No arguing but quote my post comparing Rabiot's situation to Wes presently! It's the summer of 2024, not 2023. Of course the comparison you made i agree with going back to last summer Rabiot to this year Wes is similar. Though wasn't at all what I posted. Apples to oranges, though I can see how might have taken it.:vidal:

And if i did want to compare 2023 rabiot to 2024 Wes, slight difference IMO was Rabiot never got an offer for above his Juve salary. We all know Wes got what was it, almost 50% greater than Juve offer from AV. Minority of players/agents are going to say no to that. it all about $$$! Did you really think right now if Rabiot's mom was offered 9/10M a year she wouldn't jump at it in a heartbeat? :hi:

I'm not trying to argue with you. Just making comparison you may not considered. Think we agree otherwise.

Except one thing. There is no confirmation Aston villa offered Mckennie 5m. In fact the reported news he killed the trade deal with Luiz because he demanded 5m from Aston Villa, they balked at that and backed away. Had to restructure whole deal with Barrenchea involved instead.

Demanding 5m from Aston Villa was his way of telling Juve and them that he doesn't wanna go there. Because they would not wanna double his salary, not for someone they just see as trade piece to get plusvalenza on their books, in their own version of English FA FFP they had to comply with.
