so instead of accepting a pretty good offer from villa, he plays the tough guy, tries to milk the club that put him on the map, and as a consequence he is likely to earn less for the next few seasons. at least he will have the opportunity to negotiate as a free agent from february. still a bad call since he won't be able to repeat this season. so he messed up his own career plus compromised jj's mercato. villa will thank him though since they will get a better player on the long run

what a dumbo

guys don't panic. market is not even open yet. lots of time to move him when he puts on some decent performances in copa. he's young and has value. have patience that clubs will come calling.

If he is offered 2.5m net then i don't blame him, after season he had he expect raise not a downgrade, its logical. We can shit on him what we want but he is right to fight for his contract

I think he just expects salary around 5m, if Villa cant offer him that he asked Juve to pay it. That's my understanding

let's be fair. if you perform well at work and ask for a payraise you would be mad too if your boss said nah 3 years ago you didn't work as well.

your as good as your last season

So by paying the difference in valuation fees and potentially freezing McKennie out does this still make it a good deal for us?

It now seems like we're spending money we don't have.

ok bro next time you ask for a raise hope you get denied
Lets take the analogy you are using.. lets say you did a good job and you think you deserve a raise... that doesnt mean you go and ask whatever you think or ven go and ask twice you earn...

McK can go and ask for a raise, but go and ask for double his salary and a compensation from Juventus is just insane

he isn't asking for whatever. he is asking for what he thinks his work is worth

lets continue using the work analogy. you see your co worker named rabiot making 3 times what you do. but you outperformed him so you ask for twice your salary but still less than what your co worker rabiot is earning. you get denied while your employer continues worshipping rabiot with same amount of money and you get strangers calling your greedy for asking double your current salary.

do you see how that seems unfair when you look at it from mckennie perspective?

Well thats just not fair... using the "Rabiot card"... but I do agree that having Rabiot earning what he earns dont help the cause...so lets agree on that Rabiot is overpaid and could make other players delusional on their demands in comparation

P.S I still think Juventus should freeze Mck if he is not sold

but in real life we want whats fair. right? remember you are looking at it as a fan, but juventus is just a big corportation and mckennie is an employee like rabiot.

you can argue maybe he doesn't deserve doulbe his salary, but currently thats not important when the club gives rabiot that.

thats the big problem with rabiot salary and is understandbale why mckennie, chiesa and i assume soon bremer and others will use it as the standard.
