One of the hottest takes I read lately. We should've kept Turkish league and MLS level players, they were the strengths and not the weakness.

Yesterday I learned 100% = 60%. Today, it's this. The things I learn daily on Tuz.
You can't be learning a lot with your reading skills. I choose my words very carefully, and there was nothing ambiguous in that post of mine. Yet you managed to fuck up and take from it something I never intended to say.
Yes, Pjanic and Matuidi, the main midfield pair in three straight scudetto-winning seasons, were the only worthy midfielders, professional and smart enough to at least give some shape and functionality to the team. They were declining and getting old, so it was the right time to replace them. But not with worthless players and individuals, which both McKennie and Arthur are. We gained nothing in quality (I'd go as far to say that we even lost something in quality), but we lost a lot in brains and professionalism.
But maybe I'm wrong and it was just a coincidence that we lost the scudetto after 9 winning seasons and we hardly made it to the CL only after we replaced the brains in midfield with two scarecrows.

That's not really going far, is it?

A very worthy attempt at save

Yeah thanks for clearing that up lol

We weren't talking about Pjanic and Matuidi of first two seasons but at time of replacement. Suggesting these Turkish league and MLS level players were of better quality is THE funniest thing I read on Tuz yesterday, and that's quite an achievement.
