Fucking such a typical move, do we go for a 23 year old who could be around here for a while, motivated, young, a good player who can improve...Or do we get a 30 year old, who is cheaper, arguably without motivation now, not at all like his former self and without any re-sale value....So annoying.

The thing about Sneijder is he wouldnt be a complete disaster signing. He'd be useful in Serie A.He would guarantee some returns.

But if we depend on him to produce results in Europe too,its where we land in trouble. This is a double edged sword situation of sorts.
Can't use him in CL til next year

Can somebody straighten this out for me because been a bit out of the loop in recent days, are we preferring Sneijder over Shaqiri for tactical reasons or because we can't afford to buy Shaqiri, so now focusing on Sneijder?

According to TS, Allegri wasn't convinced by Shaqiri as an AM, so he prefers Sneijder. I think it's safe to say - at least it's what everything suggests - Shaqiri is not happening.

Cheers bud. I guess from a tactical point of view it does make sense. Shaqiri is an out and out winger, but in saying that at 23 he could be moulded into being a AM. The Sneijder deal isn't half as bad as people make it out to be.

Its a mixture of both i.e Allegri wanting a pure TQ and Marotta enticed by the cheap option. And you and i both know ,we always go for the cheaper option in the end.

I just don't see him as a motivated player. That is my biggest worry.
He is not motivated because he is a big player who is not playing big games. When he comes to Juve he will be a different player. He will be fighting for the title and playing for a top team. I am sure we will see the same player we see with Holland once he is at Juve.

I am certain he would be a big success here. He is a top player and is simply just in purgatory.

id rather we gave giovinco a try out as a trequartista over this piece of $#@! at least he would prove more useful in europe
lol Giovinco is no where near as good as Sneijder. Sneijder has played 111 games for Holland, played for Real Madrid, and won the CL with Inter. Giovinco has done virtually nothing in his entire career. He could not even break into the Juve team even when we were not a great team.

Some of you are fucking deluded. The guy has been shit for a while now. Do you simply expect him to turn into the WC player of days gone by simply because he has a Juventus jersey on? :howler:

I would like to have him here, specially for 1.5 y , i think this is going to be good deal , i would rather have Snijder than Shaqiri !
Of course you would. It has nothing to do with the fact that Shaqiri is an Albanian who preferred Switzerland :D
