you'll beg for Sneijder when you see the other option is Diamanti. :D
Meh, not really. Neither is worth it just Sneijder being more expensive. He's obviously better than Diacunti but it doesn't change anything. Both aren't good enough, hence unnecessary. I'd prefer we offered more playing time to Coman and Berardi who would be a proof of long term thinking by our management.

Now in all of seriousness, are we really that poor or is it just Marotta being ridiculous? We find it funny and all but damn!

Probably a mix of both, but more a Marotta thing.
Plus a lot of his ridiculously low offers are pure media fabrications. It's mostly just TS & co. who report stuff like that, though they're certainly inspired by the real life Tevez deals of the Great Man.

But that wasn't that low, though I could remember it incorrectly. Wasn't it ~20 million while United offered ~25 million?

It's not like the reported 15 million or something for Sanchez :D
I think you probably missed the reporting at the time.Pretty much every major outlet including BBC reported that Arsenal received 3 offers at the time(United,City and Juve) and we offered the least @10 million euros(8 million pounds).

The thing about Sneijder is he wouldnt be a complete disaster signing. He'd be useful in Serie A.He would guarantee some returns.

But if we depend on him to produce results in Europe too,its where we land in trouble. This is a double edged sword situation of sorts.
