I think Dellas can do a job for Roma. However other than CB, Roma seriously lack depth big time. Del Vecchio has never been that good and Montella is past his classy prime. The key for them will obviously be CM, where there is a good possibility that teams like us or Milan can overrun them. I have never been impressed by Perrotta, and De Rossi hasnt reached Emerson's level yet. However, lets not forget Dacourt can come in do excellent should De Rossi isnt at his best.
To be honest, I think there is little difference between us or Roma ATM, and it will ultimately come down to who is more hungry and determined to succeed as a team.

Stu, peto: lets be realistic, the roman defence has looked solid in pre season. And there midfield has pure class, perrotta a great link midfielder and de rossi, well he imo will be a raf classy frank lampard, and lets not forget the totti factor...they still have dacourt and tommassi, not shabby.

The totti factor far outways our midfield bar and on form neddy.

There defence will be topclass, midfield is and will be, and they have the most lamees tpartnership in totti cassano.....dangerous?? i think so.

people, I just can not belive, that you think Roma is stronger than juve.... juve has somthing very important, that only few teams have.. The winning spirit.. Roma doesn´t have such a thing.. for Roma ist only important to beat juve, but juve wants titles... and on the way to the title we can beat Roma.... We have now Emerson an Nedved in the midfield..

IMHO we are better than Roma, but the best thing to do is to wait until week 8 of Serie A when the two sides meet and then we'll know who's better.

I don`t see roma as inminent contender for the scudetto this season, as they made it last year. Changes in the team are critical ( Capello, Emerson, Samuel , zebina) and the unexpected resignment of Prandelli as coach as left the team far away from where it was 4 months ago.
Besides, the disqualification of Mexes for the next two months and the injury of Chivu (that is a serious one) will left Roma defense very weaken.

Now, Rudi Voeller as being named as new coach, a man with not previous experience as a coach in italian serie A....too many situations here, doesnt look good this year for totti boys.

I rate Rudi as a coach - I mean he took bunch of nobodies to WC final and took the game to the Brazilians for the first 45mins.;).
However, yeah on the balance I think lack of experience may hinder Roma's chance of winning Scudetto along with the absence of solid bench IMO. Nonetheless, writing them off this early is dangerous given the fact that they have many ultra-talented players and these players will surely develop. Cassano, IMO, is on verge of becoming truly WC player, and De Rossi, Chivu, Mexes, Ferrari, and Mancini will only get better. And Totti is one of the best player in the world even if his temperament is suspect.
I still think there are lacking that proven goalscorer, experience and depth to win Serie A but I actually think they can do very well in Europe if they can hang on later stage. They might pull-off Valencia 4 or 5 years back.

I dont realy think we are realy mising anything at the moment. we are the team to beat. We have a very good midfield. On of the best attacks in the world and now an average defense. I should say that we can compete

there's 3 clubs for the scudetto this season and even ECL. Inter, Juve and Milan all look very competitive on paper...

Juve made some good signings, we'l hav no excuses this season...
i do feel that the young Chiellini should hav been loaned out rather than sold (half) and mayb Capello should hav sacrificed Tacch for Maresca. even Iuliano should be playing elsewhere, Zalayeta's still young so i hope he improves this season, i's disappointed with the sale of Miccoli...

we got the best keeper in the world and our cetre-backs are world-class so is our left back
midfield we have 2 world-class players and the young Blasi who's full of promise, better than Tacch and weldone to Capello. the young Olivera looks like he's started this season well and i wish him a very good season

our captain better start leading with goals or at least be very consistent then we'l be a major force in all fronts

we all know that we have had ZAMB at LB,
he is good enough to strenthen our attacking power

but Zebina is not enough,he is not good at attacking
or even Thuram,'cause he is old

so i recommend 2 players here:
Trabelsi:world-class RB
Evra:perspective LB,then ZAMB can become a RB

what do you think about my idea and these players?
Is there other good RB or LB u know?
discuss it

Lets just see how Zebina does it ok!, he deserves that, and just because our left side is stronger offensive doesnt mean there is something wrong at right side.
