Did you notice how teams from group D will play before C? Where did i see it before? Oh... I think FIFA is trying to avoid the clash between Japan vs Costa Rica. They did that so Japan could pick their adversary. Wow Such cheating!

“A strong and cohesive cheer has to arrive from Italy, leaving aside the divisions that exist during the season so we can UNITE all together under the tricolore flag,” wrote Buffon on his Twitter account.

“We are there fighting on the field, you are there cheering in the stadium or in front of the television, all united for the same colours, united by our passion and united for our Italy!” Buffon...

Oh how I love my Italia... :dule:
Aren't you from Barbados?

You might have a point. After all, some Ruiz could very well be a better player than Ronaldo, Pirlo, Iniesta and Rooney, and that's why he's playing better than them in Brazil. It's the big teams who are crazy enough not to buy him, and stupid enough to pay the above mentioned players such high salaries. It has nothing to do with the weather conditions. They are the same for everyone.
Alen I admit I was trolling a bit. But the climate aspect must be viewed carefully. I agree that in specific games it can cause damage. But you have to remember that it's winter in Brazil. Locations which it is crazy hot and humid now are 2 or 3 only. Belo Horizonte where I live for example is probably colder than some parts of Europe right now, where England is facing Costa Rica. Too bad England is already out.

Also, the huge majority of Latin American teams' players are playing in Europe for a while. They have the same calendar and are used to cold. A few Brazilian players played at Ukrania for years. They fell it too.

I'm not saying it is a non factor; of course it is a factor, as well as the huge trips. It's a continental country. We have a huge area with different climates. It's part of the challenge. There's a difference between this and Qatar hosting a World Cup. The climate factor in Brazil and the huge area of the country are factors which may influence a bit in specific games, but don't determinate anything. I see it as a part of the challenge. Half the world is under the equador, half is up. Someone will feel the effects more than others. It happens. But I repeat we are in the winter and the majority of the country has nice temperatures.

The only real factor in any WC is local factor, and to a certain extent.

The last one that won the WC was France in 98' and before that Argentina in 78'.

Talk about football, the rest are just excuses. If those conditions were that harming then no southamerican (let alone brazilian) would be successful in Europe.
