Dude, did you just confuse Chinese for Japanese?
meh, all countries have people like that.
This is true. Whenever someone in the hood wants to throw a party, there are always neighbors who don't want your asses anywhere near them.
Yes, but I don't remember any troubles with previous countries hosting the WC. Complaints about Brazil have started long time ago when it comes to criminal groups and being an 'enemy' area for tourists.
Meh. Every World Cup has the spooks who tell you it's a horror, that you should stay away. Just look at the Sochi Olympics earlier this year with everyone making up crap about how any journalist's computer was hacked within 24-hours of landing in Russia, how the guy behind the opening ceremony with the ring that didn't open was executed, the certainty of Islamic terrorism against the tourists, half toilets and communal toilets built for the games, pictures of brown water coming out of all the Sochi hotels, etc.
It's become a sport to project horror on the hosts of any major sporting event now.
I had always heard that hosting a world cup is supposed to be good for the host's economy? Why are the Brazilians so against it? Too much public money or something?
Because they'd rather see the money spent elsewhere on non-functioning infrastructure rather than on white palaces in the middle of nowhere for tourists that will never get used again.
