I disagree with most of your post but this part in particular screams for a big $#@! no. We're not Spain/Barcelona and should never try to play like them. If that's the case and in fact came to happen, i'd just give up on Football altogether.

Also, Bernard as a starter in a World Cup? Shoot me already. I don't share neither agree with your concerns about Fred's situation. I personally don't know anyone who's "putting too much trust" in him but in Neymar instead. Fred's job is to make good out of whatever Neymar comes up with, no more no less.

Slow, horrible stamina, can get injured at anytime? Did you forget that 2002' Ronaldo?

The fact is that it doesn't matter who's the number 9, Fred or Jo or how not-so-great they are. It all falls down to how much will Neymar shine. If he's having a good day, whoever is up front will get their chance to score. I'm absolutely positive that's how it'll turn out.
Well I'm not saying we should emulate Barcelona.
I just think Neymar should be have a more free role to excel and show everything he's got. I don't like to see him stuck as a left winger. He can do so much more than that. Would be a waste IMO. Also Barcelona typical game is a 433, we'd be in a 4231. Pretty different.

I like Bernard. I don't see how Hulk is so much better than him (even though they are very different players), and he's starting anyway. I think Bernard does very well as a LW, and Neymar shouldn't be wasted in that position.

About Fred, you just can't compare him to 2002 Ronaldo, who was still very young, and had great agility and acceleration. Completely different players.
I watch all games of Fluminense and I can tell you, Fred just doesn't take part as he should in games. He is very very slow right now. He'd be a good option on the bench, but I'd like to see a faster and lighter team, with more movement off the ball.

About Neymar, you're right. We will only have a shot at winning if he's playing at his top level. He's the only one who can make a real difference in a tight game. If he's not on his top form, we have no chance at winning. If he's at his best, we have a shot - we'll still rely on other stuff, as David Luiz focused and concentrated, Oscar not feeling the pressure, and Fred physically fit and taking part in more build up plays.

not sure if serious...
He is look at what he posted in the Ross Barkley thread

Deserved callup.

This would be my formation.

Hart

Smalling-Cahill-Jones-Shaw

Gerrard-Henderson

Sterling-Barkley-Lallana

Sturridge

Pace, creativity and quite solid defensively. That team would easily progress from the group.
The delusion. These english writing us off. Holy shit what a laugh im having right now.

One of my favorite moments of any World Cup is when England is eliminated.
The "unexpected" disapointment
Gets me everytime
The English always think their shit smells like roses. Nothing new.
Some of the comments i got from an English forum. Priceless.

"Gibbs is the most underrated footballer of all time.

"We'll get out of our group. Italy are normally shit until the group stages and Uruguay are terrible for a South American team. Costa Rica, really?"

"Got a good squad for thr first time in 10 years, yess"

"Cahill and Jagielka, a real monstrous partnership. Suarez and co. won't be able to get past them."

And here is a bonus:

"DM is the Pirlo role"

I foresee Italy being eliminated in the group stages and I usually laugh at our national side, but I do feel we'll put Italy out, if Hodgeson picks the right team.
STFU!!! I hope England are pulverized, crushed, pounded, and sent home in utterly humiliating fashion. Bunch of self entitled cunts.

Would anyone say that Uruguay have a chance of winning the thing? If they get Suarez and Cavani firing on all cylinders they'll tough to stop.

Their defence looks suspect though.

It's doesn't matter how badly the England team does, as long as there are a couple of shining lights to hold onto. Tournaments breed reckless hope, and why not? It's only XI vs XI.

I live in england and it has always been this way. For some reason , probably out of envy for players like pirlo and buffon and past players like Ale , Baggio , mauro camoranesi and fabio cannavaro.

The english have always written us off and have some sort of strange hate towards our national team in general.

If england fans focused on supporting their own team and stopped tyring to analyse and pick at other squads.. they might become abit less delusional and realise that their players are just mostly greedy , money hungry selfish people.
