It does. While Action Jackson and Fredy Montero are both still tearing it up in the Portuguese Liga, this would be like Uruguay relying on Cavani and Forlan with no Suarez: big trouble for what should have been the strongest dark horse candidate to do damage at the tournament. :frown:

Why does a Brazilian and an American care about a world class player from another country?
You're probably too young to have seen what a World Cup is really about. The great majority of the all-time greats became legends because of it.

This Colombia was one of the smaller national teams that could surprise a lot of people and Falcao could become what Skuhravy and his Czech in 90', Stoichkov and his Bulgaria in 94' and Suker and his Croatia in 98' are to Football history.

Falcao not going actually favors Brazil, seeing as we might clash in the quarter finals. But it's a big loss for Football itself.

Is it wrong to admit that I enjoy watching Falcao play, and I would have loved to have seen him perform among the world's best at a grand international competition?

The World Cup would suck if all the nations in it that I am not a citizen of would all come up with injuries and have to field their B and C sides. Who wants to see that?

That doesn't suggest they should be happy about such injury.
    Of course they should.

No, I'm not. I'm old enough to know that football has nothing to do with rationality - especially not among fans. All this "from a neutral point" is bs and we can thank the commercialization for that.

Fuck Falcao - I'm glad he's not playing.

Then we can get rid of the fake fans like we did after Calciopoli ;)

Not all fans are mindless fuckers who can't see past their own teams. Falcao and players at that level or higher made the World Cup what it is.

And what the hell are you talking about, really? What does commercialization has to do with anything i said?

It had nothing to do with what you said. See past their own team :howler:
Then why are you so biased when there's a discussion about Brazil?

My point was that you and Greg are not neutral fans in this case.

Yeah, well I am also pulling for Portugal -- as always -- despite the USA being in the same group. So there.
