It's freakishly bizarre why people always do this... it would be as if people started posting baby pictures every Summer Olympics.
I see what goes on daily in the NSFW thread. But somehow journalists and the male public has equated the World Cup equated with a strip show -- that's what I don't get. No other threads on these forums over the past decade have this cycle where, like clockwork, chick pix start pouring out on schedule for no obvious reason.
But I feel totally manipulated by the media in this. Like we're being conditioned to buy light beer like a bunch of sheep who will do their bidding as long as they push the right levers on us, Clockwork Orange-style. Slide the meat under the cell door - it's that time - and they'll lap it up like ignorant dogs.
If it was only a "world" focus either. The chicks are typically all Europeans and South Americans. Heaven forbid if any of them happen to be African or black, let alone Asian.

Well, Zico might have been the better player, individually. But he'll always be the one guy who bought us nothing, not even a single Copa América.
