Trying to find a positive, and as much as I hate Spain, it feels kinda right a generation full of great players, some of which left their mark in European football for the last 5-10 years, to mark a cycle with a World Cup. Just like it felt right world class players like Del Piero, Totti, Cannavaro, Pirlo, Zambrotta, Buffon and co. to do it.

I didn't say "finish a cycle" because most of them are still relatively young and can play another world cup or two (where I pray to God they will choke royally), but nevertheless, it feels right that they won a world cup.

I wanted to see a good match and like all of us was greatly disappointed. I attribute the ugliest of this game to the Dutch who wanted to turn this into a hackfest from the first minute. They should have been down to 10 men in the first half after the beautiful WWE style kick by De Jong. Spain was the deserved winner.

Iniesta was sick with Barca this season and barely even played. Yet with Spain he came back to his 08/09 season form.

It's the players themselves who are well, brilliant regardless of training methods they already are quality.
Quality can not be denied. But neither can it be denied in Robben's or Sneijder's case.
In the 100th minute the Dutch duo was almost dead while Xavi and Iniesta speed up the tempo. That has very little to do with talent and lot to do with the physical preparation.

The Barca players in Spain have sick physical condition. We must put a spy there and see how they're training.
Just need someone to suggest performance enhancing drugs have been used...

Spain do have many of the best players in the world, so one can't complain too much.

That said, I don't like many of their players and I don't approve of their style of play.

This is the reason I think Spain deserve to be World Champions. The entire World Cup has been bloody awful, mostly due to some of the worst refereeing ever, but Spain are probably the best team around anyway.

I dont like this sensible Seven.

Can you not get all hostile? I've yet to see you in full flow yet :p
This World Cup has killed my spirit :D

If there's one thing I hate it's bad refereeing. This World Cup has been nothing but and now the final was awful too.

But you're right, I should get my act together!
