I hope Van Persie wakes up.. the timing would be excellent. We'll struggle massively, and will automatically be pushed back plenty of times, even if we want to play forward. Our defence can't keep up with Spain's forwards though.

About Germany: They were really good for a couple of games, but I think some people didn't realise that big name teams like Argentina were just really not that good, or shit, rather. Allowing a Germany side that has played like they have so much space all over the pitch was suicide.

I didn't expect Spain to play better than they have so far, but I figured that if they would 'show up' Germany wouldn't have much say in the matter.

he's way too old for making the difference as those 2 did.. i'm in a way sorry this valencia team didn't get to play in ucl..
Vicente? I watched him in a few starts last season (he was injured first half of the year) and he was brilliant. He is only 28 still. He had too many injuries but it is amazing he still has so much pace he can go right by other players. If they hang on to Mata and Joaquin I think Valencia will still be a top 4 team next season.

Vicente ended his Spain career by attacking Puyol during training and trying to choke him

Xavi completed more passes than any other player and ran a greater distance than any other player.
Yes Cur we get it, you were right about Spain dominating the midfield and in doing so taking the match by the balls.

You don't have to rub it in to those of us who gambled away all our vcash on Ze Germans.

How ridiculous, Andy. And how hypocrite. You hate people who like the big teams to win, because they like historic clashes, but at the same time only true champions can hold records. Come on, man, get a grip. It's one or the other.
That would only be true if great players could only play for great teams. But that isn't the case.

Uruguay 2-1 Germany.

Quote me.
The Germans will play it like it's a final. It won't make a difference to them. Actually, being more relaxed they can smash Uruguay just like they did to Portugal 4 years ago.

The Uruguayans have no fuel left. They already gave their all.

Germany-Uruguay 4-0

Quote me.
Both quoted.

Just as well I ignored your advice Alen.

Betting on N. Korea conceding most goals seems to have been a wise investment.
