This I agree with, the Germans cracked under the pressure of coming up against Spain.
Not really, Kyle. The quality, on almost every position except LB, was on Spain's side. The Germans played the tournament on tactics, organization and movement. Unfortunately this wasn't enough when playing against another team who has all that but also possesses the skills.

I hoped Germany will win but a couple of days ago I compared the EURO 2008 teams and I realized that both teams had around 70% the same players who played that final, plus Germany's coach was the same. Spain dominated that final and I feared that not too much has changed in meantime. The Germans improved with the youngsters included in the starting XI, but obviously not enough to beat this Spanish team. Spain's possession football can be matched by some teams, but that EURO final was telling me (and I refused to accept it until tonight, hoping that German counters will prevail in the end) that Germany isn't that team.

Too bad.

Oh boy, are we going to struggle on Sunday. I reckon we'll see a similar game, with even more chances for Spain.
They're by far the better team IMO, but you've got the enthusiasm behind you. It's unfortunate that Spain not only won, but had a pretty good game too. But it's a final, you know, anything could happen.

That valencia team was soo good. I remember Vicente was amazing to watch back in those days. With Villa and Silva leaving Valencia, Vicente will have an important role to play again I think. He is one of my favorite players.
he's way too old for making the difference as those 2 did.. i'm in a way sorry this valencia team didn't get to play in ucl..

it depends on the way you guys will play..if you're gonna wait for the counter like germany stayed for 80 minutes you will be toasted. If you go there and try your best to keep that ball in their half of the field (cuz robben and the co. can do that) you will score. And i hope van persie will wake the f*ck up

Maybe, guess I just really believed in Germany today. I thought that for the reasons you mentioned, tactics and organization, they would at least not be so severly outplayed.
