To be honest Saadane fucked everything up for Algeria, how so typical of him. His negativity destroyed any chance Algeria had of qualifying. Around the 65th minute, i gave up on Algeria and knew they would either lose or draw. He played a 3-5-2, with two defensive minded midfielders as part of the midfield trio. Then he took out the only offensive minded and creative midfielder Ziani and brought in another defensive midfielder Adlene Guedioura. It was as if he had no intention of trying to win the game at all.

The US on the other hand, were going for the win from the start, they threw everything they had at the Algerians, while the Algerians were happy to sit back and wait for a mistake by the Americans. The team with the more positive attacking mentality went through and deservedly so.

I have to give it to the Americans, they have built a really good team. They reached the finals of the Confed Cup and only barely lost to Brazil, now they reached the second round as first of their group and are yet to lose any game. They don't have a lot of technical players, but they are a well organized team, that work very hard, are extremely tough to beat, and are not afraid to play against any team.

I congratulate Andy, Burke, Hustini, Swag, Aaron, Deneb, Henry, Kyle, Serge and the fake American Ze too. If i were an American i'd be extremely proud of this team, you guys can go far in this WC. I personally rate your team very highly.

It's like saying that Korea didn't deserve to go through because Nigeria lost so many chances against them. And they weren't even the better side today against England.
It's not the same. The Koreans at least played one fantastic match and completely outplayed their opponent on that match.

The English were a pain to watch and not in a single match they played you could say that they played good or outplayed their opponent.
And note how I didn't say that Slovenia was better, but that they weren't any worse than England overall in these 3 matches, especially when you consider the expectations for both teams.

Just for the fact that until the very last second England risked being eliminated in this piss poor group, they should have been eliminated

This is so sad. 99% of this country doesn't care for the sport so there will be no celebration on the streets, cars will not be honking in their horn and waving their flag, and ffs ESPN post-game report was all but 5 minutes. So sad. These guys deserve more coverage.
It's one of the reasons why I wouldn't mind a USA exit next round. The country lacks passion for the sport and it shows. I can understand them though, there are other sports than football too...
it's played when everyone's working. I was on a conference call when the goal was scored and everyone on the call was cheering.

He had a good game, no doubt (I must admit I only saw some parts of the game as I was watching England as well). But I think he's very overrated. He's having a good World Cup, but his goals have come against Slovenia and Algeria. They're solid teams, true, but it's not quite the same as deciding the quarters or the semis in an epic game against Spain or Brazil. I think Dempsey's the better overall player TBH.

I'm glad the USA pulled it off though. The only thing that will no doubt annoy me is the way Andy cannot handle a win.
You can't be serious. I watch these players almost every week in the EPL. Donovan is so obviously superior to Dempsey its not even a contest. Landon is very easily the best American player out there, both for the NT and in club football. Donovan even did very well against the big teams in the EPL, he had an amazing game against United and he had a really good game against Arsenal too. Donovan impressed me in half a season with Everton more than Dempsey did in his 3 years at Fulham.

They were incredibly lucky against Algeria and the US was actually the better side for more than half the game, Slovenia were just very clinical. Today Rooney should have finished the game off.

Everyone got what they deserved.
Agreed.

I thought Algeria had a great first half but sat back too much in the 2nd. They really need a finisher though.

The only fake American here is the American media; they showed baseball highlights right after the game and the BREAKING NEWS was that Lawrence Taylor has been indicted :sergio: Pathetic.

Just that at the same time I said "....just to royally fuck everything up against Australia" :D
Did you? I honestly said that without having read your post. You might be right about them fucking up against Australia too TBH.

Everybody I know, and everybody my friends know, are off the wall right now. There is an absolute frenzy, and because of our advancement the sport will gain more fans. Don't underestimate us. Come to the US to see for yourself.

Algeria, well they're going with their heads up after giving their all and that's really all there is to say about them. Congrats Americans.
