First of all it does. Refereeing a big game in the MLS is a bit different than refereeing Barcelona-Real, Milan-Inter or Lazio-Roma. It's nowhere near the same.

You know why Italian refs are the best? Because every tiny mistake is subject to hours of examination in the Italian media. The same does not go for your shitty refs.

If they were really as good as you say they are, they'd be here. We have amateurs at the World Cup FFS. If they were excellent, they would be considered for the final. They are not.
But the rules are the rules, Andries. Experience certainly helps, but then you could say South American referees are under far greater pressure than their European counterparts considering they could be murdered for their calls.

So actually, those who referee in Medellin or Rio would actually handle the pressure far better than those in London or Turin.

And it's a bit strange to use the "World Cup standard" argument against American referees when you complain about that standard every waking hour of your miserable life. That's rich, buddy.

I'm using it against your referees, because they don't even reach such a low standard. I mean, it's bloody awful and your guys are even worse.

And it does help the South American referees. Unfortunately there is also a lot of corruption in football there and well.. we've seen a couple of performances from South American refs that were not .. perfect.

I know, but you do know what they wanted to do a few years back?
Central Asian country who compete in Asian federation. Most in that region would prolly wanna compete in Europe, but doesnt make them an European country.

And I dont get the argument btw, the bad errors has been from all around, a french one standing out in incompetence for example.

Same could be said about... ITALY!

And I don't think our referees are that bad. But you don't watch the MLS.

No. It could not. Both couldn't by the way.

The main contender for the final is Italian and there are no cases of Italian referees involved in bribe scandals. In fact the Italian refs were all punished because they "might" "somehow" have been "involved".

Moreno wants to become mayor and makes the game lasts for five days.

Big difference.

Would you rather have someone who is paid do it every day perform your brain surgery or a guy who does it in his spare time?

So you judge all the South Americans simply on Byrone Moreno, the big boogyman of the Azzurri's existence.

Dude, stop being gay.

I judge them on there being a lot of scandals.

But I think they're generally better than most. Far better than any American ref would be anyway.
