Against the run of play though, of what I saw Mexico was the one with the good scoring chances.

But well..You miss those and you concede that's football for you.

Right now:

1. Uruguay 7 pts (4:0)
2. Mexico 4 pts (2:1)
3. South Africa 4 pts (2:3)
4. France 1 pt (0:4)

If South Africa scores 2 more without conceding and it stays 1:0 in Uruguay, the Africans go to the knock outs.
Or if SA scores one more and so do Uruguay.

But they are part of the game in aerial challenges. They happen sometimes. Lashing out at a player is different. That's not part of the game.
Yes they happen and they should be punished. I'm not saying that all elbows are red, but the ones that are high enough to hit head should be imo. And lashing out on a player certainly is red, and should be with an added suspension too.

This is fucking AWESOME! SA will go out against the argies anyway if they go through, but would be so awesome if they did by thumping France :D

no! if the other teams draw.. they will be ahead on points so it wouldn't matter what SA do unless one team loses the other game
SA needs Uruguay to win.

If Mexico win the other game, SA will be out no matter how many goals they score. They lose the head to head to Uruguay.

They're a lot better than everyone else unfortunately. They're not perfect, but they're way better. The top contenders for the final are European too by the way. Is there 1 good American ref by the way?
Of course there are good American refs. Just because they don't referee in Europe does not make them hugely inferior. Brian Hall would be an example.

First of all it does. Refereeing a big game in the MLS is a bit different than refereeing Barcelona-Real, Milan-Inter or Lazio-Roma. It's nowhere near the same.

You know why Italian refs are the best? Because every tiny mistake is subject to hours of examination in the Italian media. The same does not go for your shitty refs.

If they were really as good as you say they are, they'd be here. We have amateurs at the World Cup FFS. If they were excellent, they would be considered for the final. They are not.
