Yep, that's it. And it's a shame, too, because it makes the whole footballing culture look bad. Not all England fans thought it would be EASY.

But hey, it's up to them to weed out that media.

We control our own destiny. Don't have to hope people do us favors. All we need to do is beat Algeria.
I know, this result is a godsend. I am confident that our players will rise to the occasion and beat Algeria while England will most likely beat Slovenia.

Would top of the group then be decided by goal difference? After Germany's loss today it might be better to go through in second.

Seven, perhaps you were right. Maybe I shouldn't have been "happy" with a draw against England. We should have won.

They are absolutely terrible. I gave Capello and England far too much respect before this tournament -- I thought Capello could get them to win despite playing poorly. But that overrated hack couldn't even do that.

Although, this is predictable. EASY from the media, Rooney is the best player in the world, et cetera. Same old stuff. Same old nonsense and arrogance. But this is what they get for insourcing all of their league's talent.

cappello is shit 1 dimensional manager

he couldnt motivate crap for juventus in the cl

I didn't watch the match. I listened to it on the car radio, so maybe the commentators were talking bullshit, but it seemed like Algeria were only defending in the last 30 minutes while England were attacking, without being able to do anything in attack.
Why didn't the Algerians go for a goal? Yeah, draw is better than defeat, but with only 1pt their chances to proceed look really weak. They don't only have to beat the USA but they also must wait Slovenia not to lose to England because in any other case they are out.

France are as good as out and England are struggling. I am especially happy to see how anonymous Rooney has been, hope he ends the tournament without a goal.

I wonder who the English media will scapegoat now. They should consider taking a look in the mirror as the England players looked nervous and scared of making mistakes. The media pressure is really killing them.

I saw only the 2nd half. Algeria did try to (counter) attack but they were either wasteful of their chances, or lost possession.

Yes. Goal diff. is first tie breaker. Though as of now we're tied at 0.

The Sun is the biggest selling daily paper in England.

If people didn't agree with the crap it was pedalling, they wouldn't be selling so many copies, so it must be representative of the English to some extent.

Algeria didn't really try to attack and showed a definite lack of ambition.

However, I wouldn't say they were just defending. They kept the ball for quite a lot of the latter stages of the game.
