Entertaining game indeed, Forlan has been amazing in this tournament.

IMO in the tournament Forlan >>>> Sneider
Of course. He has been a LOT better than Sneijder, who has just been very lucky. IMO he scored one goal himself and was gifted all others.

If we're gonna see such a performance for every "meaningless" match then God, I wish every football match I watch is as meaningless as this one.

Is that really true though? Both teams were kind of sloppy at times and they were less organised than in other games. It was nice to watch, no doubt, but I don't think they'd play this way if it was a final.
All this was expected. Ignoring the midfield and going for more and more goals is what marks every 3rd place match.

It's not that this was the best match in the world cup, it's just that it was the least meaningful and it gave a chance to the players to show their attacking qualities.
i agree with yr points regarding it being a friendly in the sense that it had minimum pressure, and less adherence to tactical schemes compared to other important fixtures. i think the reason i enjoyed this game more was the fact i have'nt been very impressed by the quality of footie in this version of the wc so it was kind pf nice to see both teams attempting moves on each goal unlike games where it was pretty much one side for long periods simply bec one of the teams sat back to defend all the time.

:depressed

And why couldn't Müller score another:wallbang:
Congrats on the win Sab. It's a shame your team is gonna end up 3rd after some amazing performances they've put against some heavy weight teams and were entertaining to say the least at that. You should be proud.

How annoying: 2nd, 3rd, 3rd. But name me a different team that is constant on this level.

I'm honestly proud of this team:touched:
I didn't expected such football from them before Ballack got injured. When Prince kicked him I was happy and thought woho we're going to be so much more mobile and flexible but that it turns out to be so damn good was just great.

And the best: This was just the beginning.

He played well in this tournament, but i don't agree with the general sentiment that he has been one of the top 3 players in the tournament.

I think Forlan has been the best player of the tournament..
:agree:

I wanted to say that, but wanted to take it step by step, first say that he's been better than Sneider, then argue he's been more influential than both Villa and Schweini :D

Germany have been by far one of the most entertaining teams in the tournament

It's Sneijder by the way, in case you're wondering.

I agree by the way. I think Forlan has been the best this tournament. Especially considering the fact that Uruguay, while very decent, are not Holland or Spain.

Yep I do very much. I so hope that he can find back to his old self, he's great but that injury hit him really hard and so far he doesn't look at all like Helmes.
Good to know.

I didn't know he was injured though, too bad. I saw him a couple times and he was really good, was wondering why he wasn't on this WC.
