Their approach to the game in the second half was weird. They never believed they could advance from this group, they never tried more to score more goals to a 10 man France. At some points in the second half I thought their goalkeeper was wasting time.
Them defeating France was good enough to make up for them being knocked out from the 1st stage, they realized that and they became convinced it was too good to be true so naturally they opted for defending the lead rather than taking the risk of pressing their opposition and conceding along the way. That's my explanation anyway :D

I guess so but if I was their fan, I would love them to go for more goals even if they eventually ended up with a draw.

They are culturally. They're treated as such by the US too.
They are treated as latin americans, but not south americans.

And I wouldnt judge anything on what the US does :p They assume hindu indians are arabs just for having beards etc. In general just like to lump people together (how they define ethnicities in their country is hilarious, broad stroke with the term hispanic for example, including Portuguese and Spanish people, dont consider them as caucasians because there is a seperate cathegory for it, hehe).

But to the issue at hand, you are indeed the new Kyle :D

True. I should have said Latin America. Which is what I generally do in Dutch, but for some reason I've never used it in English before.

What does the american govt group you as ethnically? :p

Hehe, no honestly, its intriguing something so misguided is done in govt level. I seen a small and informative documentary of how they cathegorize ethnicity, that spanish immigrants and such have very hard to be classified as caucasian just because of the weird hispanic cathegory, hehe (and other examples, what it takes to be considered black or white etc). Would think a govt would be more competent in such a simple matter.
