Deneb explained it in another thread. Germany (Bundesliga) have a contract with Adidas and have had the ball available since January. But the ball has been available to all countries (NTs). The US used it in their friendlies.
I think the turf is more of an issue than the ball at the moment and it is being made worse by the pitch being watered, which is causing the ball to take some really explosive bounces.
also i think to make it more exciting they should do away with this predetermined matches. They should do it like CL & have a draw at the end of every round with first place in one group can play 2nd place in any of the gorups so teams don't know who they will face until after they qualify.
That's gonna make it really hard to buy tickets for matches, find accommodation etc.
There won't be enough time between matches to do something like that.

Apparently it's more prone to odd bounces which I agree with and it's prone to sailing on crosses. Yet, some teams (Japan yesterday) seem to cross the ball just fine. If I were a manager I'd tell my boys to keep it on the ground and don't switch fields unless there's plenty of space.
The bounce I definitely noticed, but I thought that was from the quality of the grass, and I've also noticed quite a few over hit passes along the ground. To me it just looks like the thing wants to travel.
I've never kicked an official ball though. Altitude could have something to do with it, but I'm no expert on that.
