Everything you say about him is right. I just can't see the lad having any future.
He won't if he doesn't rehab properly. You can see that he doesn't walk or run the way he did a couple of years ago. Something in his fitness regime is very off and a pulled hamstring would make a lot of sense if you look at him.

But you don't have to believe me.

I don't think we can call Cannavaro totally worthless due to the goal. He's shorter than the other defenders, and Paraguay took advantage of that. It simply doesn't mean he's past his prime and he needs to go.
where do i call cannavaro totally worthless ? ^^

i think he can still be very usefull playing against better teams, due to his huge experience and reading of the game ... you just should not let him play against physical superior strikers with pace ...

some youngster like bonucci would probably made rookie-errors under pressure much earlier

BTW, Lippi's experimental 4-2-3-1 formation totally didn't work. He needs to stick to a 4-4-2, or find proper players and play them in position for the 4-2-3-1 to work!
yeah, but just imagine if we had someone on the position that marchisio played .. i think if there was di natale or a fit pirlo that would have been a totally other story, because the flanks where run pretty well for some time and if you add some nice passes by pirlo to the equation it would have been more dangerous (he is a better shooter too)

I believe: if only Buffon did to.

But he needs to go. His height hasn't been reduced in the last years but he used to make up for it with his great high jumps.

This team would have been a decent one if Lippi had picked Balotelli and Cassano. Cassano to play in Marchisio's tonight position, Balotelli to take Iaquinta's and Di Natale to replace Pepe. Marchisio could play instead of Montolivo. Marchisio is being totally wasted in that position.

The criticism for Cannavaro for this game is bizarre, that was his best game for a long, long time. The British coverage I was watching was full of praise for him, talking about him rolling back the years and one guy even said he was close to perfect. Sure, he was in the vicinity for the goal but that is about as close as you can get to a criticism here. People need to separate between not liking the guy and actually giving a view that is close to the reality of how he played, not what they wanted to happen.

No way, take those Juve glasses off. Chiellini was the worst defender tonight, they all did fine defensively but Chiellini's distribution was very poor.
What Juve glasses? I reckon Cannavaro a Juventino; at least much more than Zambrotta :D Cannavaro is to blame for the goal and he also lost many balls in dangerous positions.

It was the man De Rossi was marking that scored.

De Rossi has already admitted he was at fault.
