can't believe people are actually rejecting the idea of Rooney; fine its a long shot, but so are half the players everyone wishes join us. If we had the opportunity to get Rooney for a reasonable price without giving an important player in exchange, i say go for it!!

I can't believe people are actually taking the idea of us signing Rooney seriously. We can't even get Rafa Benitez to sign for us.

When asked about Rooney last night Mourinho laughed and said that in a few weeks Ronney will sign a life long contract with Manchester United. He knew it was a stunt from Rooney's agent to get more money, he's in contract negotiations with the club now it seems.

And Mourinho is most likely spot on.

No way he's wrong, no way Ferguson would come to a press conference and say what did. United have offered him a deal that would make him the highest paid player in Britain, I think this goes further than money personally. However unless Rooney comes out and says it everyone will think it's money related, behind the scenes at United aren't so rosey so.......

The fact that there are those who would reject Rooney just because he is English is laughable. You couldn't name a more enterprising forward who gives his all and constantly turns his weaknesses into strengths, but yet people are saying no, no to a player who is undoubtably too good for this club. How stupid.

100%, he has burned his bridges now, for Ferguson to take him back after that is simply unheard of. Rooney is his baby, but I just don't see it.

    Apparently he's going to Liverpool.

A group of journalists overheard Roy Hodgson say "Yes it looks like Wayne's coming", but couldn't get an exclusive as about 5 minutes later it started pissing it down and all had to run inside.
