life as in living vs non-living... yes it happened on its own... its a product of nature not a product of magical creation.
That theory isn't fully proven, just like evolution, therefore can't build an argument on it
I support freedom of belief, but not to use science as a way to attack religion because simply science doesn't oppose religion as some people think, religion supports science greatly as a matter of fact and you know well about the scientific facts in Qur'an hundreds of years before they were proven
nature didn't create itself or any living beings, a higher power did, to me that makes most sense and the rest is up to belief.
It doesn't say humans are special? Really? But more importantly, I'd consider it a lie by omission. I mean, the book's goal is to explain the universe to us and it didn't mention that there's life on other planets too?
The book's goal isn't to explain the universe to us, it's to guide us away from "sins" and anything bad that could happen to us, to reach peace of mind and soul and to to go heaven on judgement day, of course.
I understand this all means nothing to a disbeliever but I just had to explain the book's goal
God sent it to guide humans, only.
nothing denies that there are aliens, and he could've sent a book to aliens in their langauges and cultures, who knows? and who said we own the universe? the only things that makes us superior from all livings is having the brain, but thats it, and from the way we use it I see that animals are living a lot better and haven't harmed the planet at all but look at what we've done with our superior genius.
God says:
021.030
YUSUFALI: Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder?
We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
find me life anywhere.. whether its on Earth or on Saturn, where there are livings and there isn't water, and I'll let you doubt my beliefs
at the end, personally, I don't think the whole universe was created aimlessly, there must be a reason that we're ignorant of and I like to think there is a different form of life
As for your silly argument that someone must have created the organisms in the first place.. well by that reasoning someone must have created that someone too and another someone that someone.
If it's faith that's okay, but you should leave it at that. You can't logically conclude the existence of a supreme being.
I think of it the same was prophet Ibrahim "Abraham" PBUH did
saw his people worshiping statues as symbols of religious beliefs, he thought of higher powers as stars, then the moon, then the brightest of all the sun (as some people believe in nature creating everything on its own) but that all didn't make sense since this all had their powers part-time of the day, there must be a higher power that created all this
and that's a matter of belief, of course
but it's not a silly argument, I have my reasons and my beliefs to stick with, and honestly if you can't respect that then you don't deserve being replied to
Stands of proteins composed of different chemicals radomly stringing together until a functioning organism made of basic lipids emerged?
Yeah, that is scientific facts I agree with, but then again who created proteins?
and it brings us back to evolution the unfully proven theory, where I choose to believe that God created everything the way it is, proteins, planets and humans
or even aliens if they existed
and here's where faith and belief comes in
