I can imagine, yeah, because they're one of the primary means of transportation there. I remember my brother telling me there are more bikes in Amsterdam than cars when he got back from his trip, on most of his photos it was pretty obvious. I suppose the theft would be higher here as well if people actually used them for getting around. Someone who rides a bike here is an outsider. We got practically 1.5 cars per person here and we supposedly don't have money.

It's sickening, we're not such a big city, but the traffic jams here...NYC wouldn't be ashamed of them, everyone goes to work with his own car. God forbid 2,3 neighbours work something out and go together in one car, that'd be embarrasing.
