Please be specific and say its dollars. People dont realise how weak the dollar currency has become, 26m dollars is 16-17m euros. Suddenly doesnt sound that much, and it was the price he was rumoured to begin with (18m), so nothing changed except the currency.

Chelsea want every fucking player on the planet. So i was hoping they'd butt in for Boumsong too.And where in Pakistan?
true but wanting Boumsong is like wanting aids.
Dad is Punjabi (but was born before partition) and mom was born in Bombay but lived in Islamabad for the bulk of the time before they came to north america. I have never been there myself (well once when i was 1 but i don't count that) but i would like to visit someday.

he's a striker that mostly plays off of rocchi. He doesn't really play the wing. He's good but we need better quality players to really compete in europe.

VDV would be an ideal replacement for neddy. If we don't get him in this transfer window I hope we agree to a deal with hamburg to get him in the summer. The problem is his stock will only rise from here on out. Plus more teams will be interested in the summer.
We won´t get Van der Vaart in January. You can be sure of it.

If Giovinco really explodes (even more) for Empoli in the next 6 months, we might have to forget about Van der Vaart altogether.
Good thinking. That would save the Euros. But the problem is we don´t have anyone else to play the Giovinco position (Camo maybe? Nedved will retire) so Van der Vaart would come handy and I really, really like him. Almiron and maybe Tiago could play that advanced role but they haven´t been too convincing.

There's always the trident option of Iaquinta-DP-Trez. Tiago, as you say, could fill in, Camo too. We could always switch back to the 4-4-2, with perhaps Palladino on the left. Most importantly though, i'm not convinced Nedved will retire.

I'd like VDV too, but I think the board might take the cheap way out(perhaps sensibly so) and spend that money elsewhere.

Here's part of your inane opinion.

Your foolish opinion is exactly why Milan gets Kaka while we purchase Almiron. You are completely wrong with your assessment as Serie A is filled with technical geniuses who have played in South America. The Bundesliga has about the same "roughness" of Serie A, and that league features all sorts of the "technical geniuses that would indeed struggle.

Your opinion is nonsense and pretty much everybody called you out on it.
well i don't agree about the ("non-existing") difference with european football

and you kaka example is much fun. are you trying to squeeze a rule out of every tendency ? (and do you hear me say that south-americans can't make it in europe ? :melayyanandmessi: )

so i'm of the opinion that there's a big difference between south-american football and european, not in individual quality but just the way it's played. at juve we have promising youngsters like palladino, marchisio, giovinco, crisicito, de ceglie coming up who will probably be filtered into the first team in the coming years. On the other hand we have to replace nedved, an ageing dp and the champions who left after calciopoli. we need our transfers to deliver and carry the team immediately. our transfer campaign has been pretty much of a flop because the big-money players almiron and tiago (omg what did i say) didn't match expectations. so no, i don't want a south-american talent because i'm of the opinion (still) that they generally need a considerable time of adjusting to european football. well unless of course we have the money to spend millions of euros on them and put them with the likes of giovinco, criscito and marchisio : future juve stars. i prefer to look at the present and strengthen the team immediately.

also many on here also say that they don't want vdv because we have giovinco. once more i don't share that opinion as we can't immediately put so much pressure on a 20-yo. we'll have to play 50 games next season, there's time for anyone. i sincerely believe that van der vaart can be an immediate hit at juve.

people don't agree with me ? oh my god!

i hope you're right about nedved as he deserves to taste cl one more time, but anyway we'll need some kind of replacement for him next season already. there are many games to play and nedved wil be 36 ...
vdv seems the right guy imo

I would love VDV but Flamini is great buy too
well i love free transfers in general :D

but despite the rumours i don't think flamini is leaving arsenal at all. i hope time proves me wrong though
