then maybe we should go ahead with Lampard then, he is kind of old. I really want Diego at Juve next year but I also don't want Giovinco to be a flop for not playing regularly.

what we would pay for his wages would not be higher than the transfer fee of someone Like Diego or VDV.

Yeah. Lampard would be a good choice. His high workrate aslo fits the Juve mentality. Also I think it better to have a goalscoring midfielder in Lamaprd with a creative midfidler in Giovinco than 2 creative midfielders in VDV/Diego and Giovinco. This way we would have a better advanatge with better options to play agasint different opponenets. Plus a goalscoring midfidler like Lampard takes alot of pressure off our forwards incase of Injury or being out of form.

Latest news in Holland is that vdV is interested in offers from Juve, he likes Juve because of the name and the tradition. Besides, he only wants to leave HSV for a top 10 European club, wich doesn't include Valencia or Atletico.
He's definately interested, he wants to make a step forward and could move in january or in the summer.

This according to the Dutch football magazine/websit Voetbal International.

I like this news :D :agree:

edit: It's on video and in Dutch, so I cant't quote the source, but I'm sure Dominic, or someone else, can check and confirm.

bah he will say the same about Madrid
That may be so, but he hasn't yet.
And besides, Voetbal International isn't like Goal or Tribal. They don't randomly post every single rumour and have quite some inside info.
The fact is he puts us over every spanish side but two, Barca and Real, who both have quite the midfield. Valencia isn't an option when Juve enters the race.

Hmmm get him Secco!!!:juve1:

remember Mavuba? in the end he chose Villareal over us :(...its not the player its our friggin' mgmt. that worries me
Well, we were all considering vdV a transfer target when there was no evidence whatsoever he would want to join us. Now there is. And I'm considering the source reliable. There's always a chance a transfer doesn't occur, but the fact that his preferred destination hasn't got a team that needs him or that he wants to join gives us options.

i agree that he is a definite target and that your source is indeed quite reliable, but my point is that Sucko doenst seem to have the ability to land the desired players

I think our management were the one who quited on Mavuba. Where did you get that Mavuba rejected us for Villareal?

i mean in the sense that we were linked with him for atleast 8 months (DD days)...and yet Secco could not bring him to Juve...
We backed out because DD left, remember? He was the one who wanted to bring him. As soon as DD resigned, we lost our interest for Mavuba.

About Van der Vaart, getting him depends on lot of things. And I am not sure if he is the one we really need. He is more of a forward than a midfielder. And he is definitely not a Nedved replacement.

He is good, I like him very much but I see him more like a support to Trezeguet.
