When he was on Ajax his "dream-team" was Barcelona, even in Football Manager I believe his favourite club is Barca or Madrid. Fuck VdV

because he no longer wants to be a Juventino, please let's get someone else..
Van der Vaart has always expressed that he'd prefer to play in Spain, partially because of his Spanish roots. He has never stated a club of preference. Even he had, not wanting him because of that is extremely chidlish and naieve. Do you think all of our players are juventus childhood fans and would never play for any of their rivals?

Well a few of our players have already done that, but it's not that, it's just if he preferred Spain, Barca, Madrid, whatever he would eventually leave Juventus it would be a waste of money. By the way it's Naive.. and it's not childish, it's just a waste of money it's like him signing for Juventus and a year later telling the media how it's his dream to play for La Liga and then being sold for less.

Or we can stick to Giovinco Nocerino and Marchisio
we could but we need to replace zidane, vdv is off to spain, or at least anywhere but juve, the diego trail im confident will be revived next season providing we qualify for the cl, to replace nedved and to finally fill the void left by zidane. as far as this seasons midfield is concerned its good enough to secure europe, nothing more

Van Der Vaart 'Going Nowhere'

Hamburg have ruled out a move away for Rafael van der Vaart

The Dutch midfielder is desperate to leave the AOL Arena and has identified Valencia as his preferred destination after the Spanish club tabled a €14 million bid fir him.

But club chairman Horst Becker has insisted the 24 year old , who is under contract until 2010 will not be going anywhere.

"He won't be sold under any conditions" he said.

Sporting director Dietmar Beiersdorfer added: "The decision has been made. Rafael will not move during this transfer window."

The Dutch midfielder revealed earlier in the week that, "If I have to stay at Hamburg, that would be very painful for me."

Van der Vaart has reacted strongly to Hamburg's stance, saying: "My dream has been destroyed.

"I was promised that the club would consider such an offer. But the club turned it down immediately. It's almost arrogant."

Van der Vaart angered club officials earlier this week by asking for an "immediate release" from his current deal to make the switch to Valencia.

"I am determined to leave and Valencia would be a dream for me," said Van der Vaart, who has a Spanish mother.

He's the weakest of the candidates out there. Dont know why you guys hype him up so much. Nothing special about him. Diego, Riquelme and Rosicky are all better.

I dunt think he is hype..and he is definetely better than Rosicky. On par with Diego not as good as Riquelme but he is so much more younger compared to him.
