i mean playin for teams like hamburg and ajax...how could u show ur complete worth on the pitch with teams that suffer against bigger teams or which lack depth to compete both localn continental competitions

I don't think we need a defensive midfielder. We already have Zanetti who can sit in front of the defense, and along with Nocerino and Marchisio we have youngsters that could also fill that role in the future. We should have them in mind with our future plans instead of haphazardly buying players..

From what I've seen of Tiago, he's a complete midfielder. He makes forward runs but covers defense adequately. I still think he's not the creative spark in the midfield that we're looking for so that does still leave room for VDV.

But if we aquire Almiron, then perhaps we will play with two midfielders instead of both DM or one attacking and one defensive.

And yes, if Nedved quits we'll need somebody to fill in. Even if he doesn't quit I think we need a player to rotate with. I don't see Nedved lasting the whole season.
