The put options were being bought up just a few days before the attacks! If that isn't suspicious, I don't know what is. Back then the airline industry was rather healthy with oil prices at $30 per barrel. Not everything is an absolute joke conspiracy theory.
I'm sure there was tons of chatter. But to suggest that people knew of its certainty to share with traders while still leaving Pres. Bush in the dark about it until he was told in a kid's classroom with a stupefied look on his face is the work of a pretty wild imagination, a science fiction writer, or both.

If people knew of its certainty enough to trade on it, Al Qaeda basically risked the entire mission something awful then. And they should have been investigated as being in on its planning.

Not to mention the guy in the YouTube video comes off as someone I would nail in the face with pepper spray if he approached me in the street.

About that, it reminds me that I saw a documentary about USC, some Utah college, and the struggle of getting Michael Moore come there to speak (right wing christians are such faschists) when Farenheit 911 was coming out before the election. I must say, despite everything I know of your conservatists, this documentary really freaked me out in the utter stupidity of fundementalists.

Plus, it reminded me why Sean Hannity is one of the few truly god awful excuse of human beings in this world.

Mormons are crazy, but their history and system if beliefs is so interesting. That documentary sounds cool. Do you remember the title?

Oh if you're interested in finding out what makes a mormon tick or how anyone could be swept up into fanatical religion, I recommend Under The Banner Of Heaven by John Krakauer.

Who knows what really happened. But nobody can argue with this:

http://911research.wtc7.net/sept11/stockputs.html

Put options were trading 60 times their usual volume right before 9/11. Now, we can beat around the bush all we like, but this pretty much confirms that the government has not told the truth on this matter (like it's such a surprise). Some traders found out about the attacks beforehand, which suggests people in the business world knew they were coming, which isn't surprising either as the banks are up the government's ass. So this doesn't make any sense here. Conspiracy theorist suspicions are justified... again.

Having been through a traumatizing criminal jury process for the past couple of weeks, my mind is pretty attuned to this kind of thinking. I'd like to see more evidence, as this is pretty circumstantial.

Well, I don't have access to SEC and CBOE documents. But considering the circumstances, there is no doubt in my mind these events were connected. Too many "coincidences." Plus I don't trust the 9/11 commission either.

anyone want to comment on the Obama regime, through all their brain-washed followers in the media, trying to destroy "Joe the Plumber" for asking a valid question in which Barack gave a piss-poor answer to ?

the road to communism- speak out of turn, or with something that angers the regime, and they investigate you, and do everything necessary to humiliate and destroy you

things will only get worse in the communist state of Obama-land

Communism? Who is in office again?! We basically skipped socialism over the past year and went straight from capitalism to communism. This is the Bush regime that has moved us into sheer communism, Vinni! The guys you voted for has turned your country into your worst nightmare, the United Soviet Socialist States of America! USSR of A baby!

I hope you're happy with all this nationalizing under Commandant Bush! Afterall, you voted for this. :howler:

who is in office again?
didn't he turn America into a pollicestate that looks a lot like the old regimes of Eastern Europe. there is more controll, fear and big brother now in the good old US then there was in KGB-land in the seventies.
Off course a copper revels in an environment like that.
the only thing Bush didn't controll was economy and that is exactly what is falling apart these days
it's not a matter of judgement, he simply has no interest in this as he had a war to run
and you believe socialism is bad?
there will never be socialism or communism in America but there is a need for more socialism as the current political system is falling apart these days and the first sign is the current financial crisis. That was the first sign before the collapse of the Sovjets as well.
It's not too late yet but more controll is needed , no communism but not a entirely free market either.
In other words, Bush turned the screws on America when it comes to political freedom but neglected the part that needed suppervision.
I saw an report on CNN the other day that a republican senator was against the financial package to help the banking industry. He claimed it restricts free trade. But this is exactly what happened in the thirties with the big depression.
America is so afraid of any interference of the government it would risk another financial meltdown.
And there are more hurdles in the near future with global warming that looks like a massive problem with huge finacial implecations if we don't act very soon.

I don't think you quite know what communism actually is.

The Russians probably just don't want to fund McCain's communism. "Enough is enough, dammit"
:howler:

It's so, so funny how people are being fooled by all of this. The Republicans socializing various institutions, McCain asking the KGB for money, you voted for communism Vinni!

We're heading for a hybrid communist/fascist police state, so I guess Vinni will benefit anyway, being part of the gestapo and all.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, stop using words you have NO clue of what they mean.

Name communistic traits of Obama right now, or please hold your immensely clueless tongue. Seriously. COMMUNISM?

I was about to say McCain asked money from Russian "commies" before I saw it was already posted, but I didnt post mostly that because its not an argument that makes McCain a communist, NON of them are communists, grow the fuck up. Heck, name me real ommunist politicians now that you know of around the world, let alone in your country.

Sure Vinny, I would be happy to comment.

Actually, Obama gave a very good answer. He was honest and truthful and talked to the guy like he was a regular person. I was surprised with the straightforwardness of Obama's answer. Considering it wasn't going to be what Joe the Plumber wanted to hear. Obama's tax plan works for everyone much better than McCain's. Especially when you consider that Obama eliminates Capital Gains tax for small businesses. Last time I checked huge corporations don't really employ Americans these days.

Joe The Plumber screwed himself over by not paying his taxes. It's really hard to feel for the guy when he questions tax plans, yet doesn't pay taxes himself. And on top of that, he refers to Obama as a tap dancing Sammy Davis Jr? I saw it last night on Hannity and Colmes. The fellow dug himself a hole. And you really have to give the McCain campaign as much blame as you do the "liberal" media. If McCain hadn't made this guy a celebrity his life would be so much better. He hasn't helped himself either.

To call Obama communist is just plain ridiculous and you know it. Considering the other guy (McCain) just voted for a 700 billion dollar buy out, a bail out for Ford and GM, and wants to partake in Bank Bailout round 2 once he is elected. I'd say that's the definition of socialism to a T.

Add to that his VP candidate is Governor of the most socialist state of the union (Alaska) and what you have is a couple of hypocrites trying to have their cake and eat it too.

It was funny last night when Hannity let Colmes off his lease long enough to ask Joe the Plumber about living in Alaska and the tax breaks he got and if he thought those were socialist. He said he didn't think it was socialist because the government was just trying to help Americans out. The cost of food is high and so is the cost of living, so it makes sense. Colmes then replied with something like, well cost of living is up all over and so is the price of food. So you wouldn't want the government to help you out. Joe said no because that was socialist. Hannity immediately put the lease back on Colmes.

Simple message for my friend Joe. Quit talking.

It's very interesting Vinny to see how you preach about hating high taxes and yet you don't like the guy willing to give you the biggest break.

Hope that was what you were looking for.;)

For those wondering what they are talking about, watch it all here:

I dont see the issue here. Was he supposed to lie and sugar coat, smile and shake hands just to get cheap sympathies to sway with? ("I would drink a bud with him...") Or actually explain his tax plan reasonably and put forward his politics in a articulate and easily explained way? As he did.

What in the middle of that is piss poor answer? Anything that doesnt lie just to placate cheeps is poor answer? (I have seen McCain tell people things that completely contradict his political agenda just to please them for that moment).
