Maybe so, but I have never seen the Obama side shout out stuff like "kill him !!" in reference to McCain. Not to mention drive around with racist taunts on their shirts.
from what I can see through the media, the Mc Cain supporters look more prone to these kinds of stupid outings than Obama's, but does it say anything about the candidate himself? I mean, most Mc Cain supporters just support him because he's the republican candidate, no? So you can't say dumb supporters=dumb candidate, because even if the GOP candidate was a genious, they'd still be there supporting him.

Well, the way the Republicans basically put out lies to the public regarding Obama, lies that are much more absurd compared to what the Dems put out, one could make the argument that the McCain campaign is admitting their supporters are indeed dumb. Their supporters actually believe some of these lies, such as Obama is a terrorist. We're basically being dumbed down by this stuff.

McCain may not be dumb, but the guy isn't intelligent. He mixes up stuff all the time and doesn't know anything about economics. Dumb supporters may not equal dumb candidates, but I do believe there is a correlation between what the person looks like and stands for. Some of these people want to elect a guy who seems cool to have a beer with.

Well Geof the thing you aren't addressing is the fact that it took great disdain from the populous to even get McCain to speak out against the comments some of his party have made. When you're VP candidate is running around the country inciting these ideals, it's hard to make an excuse for yourself.

You have a fair point, being that you can judge a presidential candidate on the statements his representatives, and even more his VP, made. I don't question that at all.

However the case of a guy on a motorcycle with a Mc Cain sticker sporting a racist t-shirt is different, you can't blame Mc Cain for that surely? Or would you expect a presidential candidate to tell a part of his voters to go f*ck themselves?

I don't hold the candidate responsible for the actions of his constituents unless his campaign is throwing around rhetoric why suggests such behavior is ok. In this case members of his campaign have been suggesting such behavior is ok as is his VP. The guy on the motorcycle is a worm no doubt.

The McCain campaign has searched for some dirty stuff, especially regarding a possible terrorism tie to Obama, which spurs on racist remarks and inklings. So yes, I can blame McCain for spurring this crap on.

i don't know why the non-american members care, let US spend money on airplane carriers, as someone living in canada, i'd rather have them than russia or china as the world's super power
I dont care, but i find it bizarre that someone might find free health care and free education to be a bad thing.

the whole "american dream" stupidity, which no longer is within reach, gives rise to the "government should stay away from our paychecks" attitudes
It's because of political fear tactics. The same game has been played for over 50 years and only utter retards still buy it. The fact that Vinman is so scared of anything that has anything to with socialism, no matter how remotely, is a natural result of a political climate that has told you The Communist is the enemy. And now this whole communist thingy is fading away, they created a new one: The Terrorist. Vinman has no idea which possible attack he's talking about, no idea who might be behind it and no idea how it might be carried out. Yet he's shitting his pants and not voting Obama, because Obama likes The Terrorist.

I have to say I admire the fact that republicans had the guts to say you shouldn't like communism, because it's all propaganda and indoctrination. I mean, that's pretty damn funny. And it worked!

That's how sad it really is and that's why Vinman is an ignorant fascist son of a bitch.

Alright, I'll be honest. I think it's fair to say that everything I do is motivated by selfishness. In this case it's a kind of selfishness that is wanting to live in a better world, because that'll make me happier. Someone told me that's a bad definition of selfishness and it should have a different name, but there you go.

In other words it is in my selfish interest that governments fund health care and education over airplane carriers, because that produces people I want to live with in this world rather than those I don't.
