Because unregulated private industry always makes everything better. :agree:

:lol2:

What's with the recent hate on lobbyists? Seriously, I read yesterday's Obama speech, and a search for 'lobby' gave 21 matches, in just 6 pages. Change lobbyist with Jew, and you got a different picture :p
"Lobbyist" has apparently replaced "liberal" or "special interests". It's the political equivalent of "speculators" in the world of economics these days.

Everybody has to have their boogeyman to focus the hate. With the Nazis no longer in power, and Putin a few years off before the red tanks are pouring through Prague, we gotta pick our evil nemeses where we can.

yeah, fuck Secho!

Now that's funny...

I have no problem with Obama focusing on Lobbyists, especially when we've had two elections "won" on the basis of gays and guns.

So McCain pussies out of Fridays debate by claiming he is needed in Washington to "fix" the economy. He also asks Obama to cease campaigning to do the same. My only point is... But Johnny I thought you said our fundamentals were strong?

Obama's going to speak.

Coolest thing ever on Fix News. The Georgian President was speaking about Palin, Biden, McCain, and Obama. The Fix goof asked him who called first and of course it was McCain before Obama, but Biden beat them both. The dude loves Biden and he said even though McCain called before Obama he liked what Obama had to say as far as a plan and enjoyed the frequency of Obama's calls. The Fix goof looked thoroughly annoyed. Gotta love it.

I think McCain heard there's some mortgage problem or other, so he figured it's time for him to take stock of how many houses he owns. :pado:

Gotta love Johnny McCain breaking Obama's olive branch of a bipartisan plan to help fix the economy.

All Obama wants is...

• No Golden Parachutes -- Taxpayer dollars should not be used to reward the irresponsible Wall Street executives who helmed this disaster.

• Main Street, Not Just Wall Street -- Any bailout plan must include a payback strategy for taxpayers who are footing the bill and aid to innocent homeowners who are facing foreclosure.

• Bipartisan Oversight -- The staggering amount of taxpayer money involved demands a bipartisan board to ensure accountability and oversight.

Indeed. I also find it interesting how Republicans probably wouldn't be preaching regulation on Wall Street if it weren't an election year.

I like Kucinich. He has some good ideas, but I think the thing with the city he was mayor of going bankrupt makes hid a tad unelectable for anything above his current pay grade.

Another politician with interesting ideas on economics is Arnold. His recent policy suggestions focusing on fiscal responsibility are pretty adverse to average conservative thinking.

There's nothing wrong with that whatsoever.

But of course people will swoop in with the legendary and inane retort, "but Obama will increase your taxes !! He's a Liberal !!"

I'm curious to see how his pulling out of the debate affects the polls. I hope the American people aren't stupid enough to think he actually pulled out for the reasons he said he did. Obama said it best. A president needs to be able to handle more than one thing at a time and if McCain can't handle a debate and a troubled economy he surely does not need to be President of the United States.

Sarah, that Legrottaglie clone in your avatar annoys me. Who the heck is this? Do us a favor and put in your own picture there.

I considered putting my picture in my avatar but I feel like as a female that just attracts attention to myself on a forum full of 95% males. If at least one other female had her photo as an avatar then I would do the same. I just have been at a stand still of who I want on my avatar so I will continue with my "Legro clone" until something catches my eye.

Oh and how does this

look anything like

The only similarity is they both have similar (not the same) hair. Legro is not my cup of tea. I don't tend to find guys with noses that seem to have been broken 80 times and permanent under eye circles up my alley to put it nicely. I just can't take the comparison anymore because it makes me want to pull my hair out.

End Rant :p

You know it wasn't so much about your picture (your rationale isn't new) as it was about getting rid of this whatshisname who keeps popping up in various poses driving me nuts. :p

And since you feel like pulling your hair out.. mission accomplished? ;)
