Let's actually go on topic here.. What is the general feeling in US about the elections? Is Obama still backed by the majority, or have they found out that he is nothing else than overhyped and overrated?

I don't think the "lesser of the evils" have ever played a bigger role in the US presidential elections than this time.

I would consider not vote at all, rather than vote for the Democrats or the republicans.
Obama was way overrated because it was "something new". Too many voted last term and did no research IMO. The guy has run this country into the ground in only 1 term. I see absolutely no reason to vote him back in again.

Anyone that thinks we are adding jobs and the unemployment is improving is looney.

And not voting is the worst possible decision to make. There is one better than the other and its up to people like you and I to vote to the "better" or the "lesser of the two evils" gets in, whichever you choose that is. (based off of your own opinion, that is)

You can vote for the independent party too. Not voting is weak imo. Sure, your vote probably means nothing but it's all about making a statement. If everyone who thought their vote wouldn't make a difference didn't vote, then a very large portion of the voters would be lost. Voting should me mandatory imo, no matter who you vote for.
No, it shouldn't be mandatory. You then impose government rule on free will. Who is to say that both candidates are absolute monsters and there is nothing your agree with and find offense to both, why would you want to have it "mandatory" that you still vote?

Your point is to distance responsibility through an argument of unintended on irresponsible consequence.

It's an arrogant and ignorant argument, maybe you should high-five your face with a history book.
My point is to distance myself from responsibility? I'm sorry to say, but blame the government, not me or my opinions.

I'm not responsible for the mess, my government is. Big difference.

I don't follow. If it's about making a statement then why would you make it mandatory? Isn't "I'm not voting because this is all a charade" a statement as good as any?

I fail to see how Obama ran the country into the ground? He inherited shit from before, the eonomy crisis was not his fault.

Good point. :D

I just don't like the idea behind not voting.

The economy was not nearly as bad, man. The debt just doubled or then some under his tenure. It was his choice to spend money we didn't have on things that wouldn't work.

The subprime mortage crisis was an issue, IMO, from the Left giving loans to people that had no right getting loans because they couldn't pay them back. Suddenly you have people that can pay mortgages and banks are getting paid. Crash.

I always thought the same, his foreign policy sucks tough.

If anyone can clear this i'll be thankfull.
He didn't do shit to fix the debt
He didn't do what was neccessary to fix the economy

He couldn't because Republicans are cunts
No politician will ever have the balls to do what's necessary unless they're assured of power.

Am I one of the minority in this World when I say that it does not matter who wins because all of them are idiots?
No, you aren't alone.

Nope, we've all accepted that, we're just arguing semantics.
Because non of them is the " real" president.
Yes. They can hire a monkey to act instead of those two dumb things for 4 more years. Nothing will differ at all.

Because he's only a president, not a dictator who decides everything.
Give me one material difference between them regarding the foreign policy of USA? Regarding the internal affairs, I could not care less, to be honest.

I must say, I find it interesting hearing everyone from everywhere's opinions. (Non-US peeps).

Not that I am saying you or your ideas are wrong, but its always interesting to hear you guys out, providing no one gets nasty.

I like talking to you guys so hopefully no one is taking anything personal. We all have differening opinions I suppose, but respect given to those who can support their thoughts/ideas.

Well I'm not a psychic but if there was absolutely no difference between Bush and Obama on foreign policy it's pretty reasonable to expect that Obama2/Romney is going to be exactly the same as Obama1.
