It was tongue and cheek, but I would be kind of annoyed if the President were elected via Congressional majority. It would be so fucking retarded over here.
I fail to understand this post, but I'm very preoccupied with something else. I'll return to it tomorrow when I have a clearer mind.

Do it the way the French do: have a proper parliament and a directly electable president. Both are usually separate and in cases where a president is elected by parliament/congress, in most cases he is just a figurehead (Like the British Queen or the German President). The head of government would still be elected by the people one way or another.

At least Hollande doesn't have to shout at the French parliament all the time for them to do the fucking job properly. Some other guy does it instead. This is the norm in democracies, unless you consider Hugo Chavez, Raul Castro and the Saudi King as beacons of democracy.

the norm in democracies is to have a president and a prime minister? the french system be it administrative or political(i wont even go into economic) is a joke.

I'm pretty sure most Europeans love the US. Look at Del Piero and Marchisio. Their favorite place, they've said it themselves.

Yeah, any worthy discussion should use footballers as examples :agree: I love a couple of them and like a whole lot, but the majority are and will always be stupid as cattle.
